Story
This little fella is impossible not to love. His zest for life is contagious, and he has a way of making every person he meets feel special. It’s been two months since Tiger joined us, and every single day he reminds us just how happy he is to simply LIVE! Tiger came from a situation of severe neglect. Sometimes, it’s hard not to feel angry about the time he lost. But Tiger? He doesn’t waste a second on the past. Every day, he wakes up with joy in his heart, ready for his morning walk, his cozy bed, wobbly play sessions with his pals, bird watching in the backyard, and as many head scratches as he can get. His health journey is still unfolding, and while we’re taking things one day at a time, we’re celebrating every little victory - like his growing strength and his fluff slowly coming back! If you think you might like to give this guy a forever home for his remaining Golden Years, please apply and reach out! https://www.socalsamoyedrescue.org/adopt

Story
Sex: MaleBreed: Australian Shepherd xEstimated Date of Birth : 01/27/2023When beauty is combined with smarts you get Neptune! This sweet boy is stunning and has all the brains and fun you Aussie fans love about the breed. He’s high energy, enthusiastic and gorgeous! Definitely a winning combination for Pawsitive Change! This boy attended his 3 month training program at Tehachapi State Prison and is now looking for an active family willing to keep him challenged and enforce the boundaries he learned in prison.Neptune may be a familiar face. He was adopted last summer as a younger pup but unfortunately that family wasn’t his perfect fit. There was too much going on in the home and neighborhood and it was a bad environment for this boy. He had a chance to decompress at our ranch before going into Pawsitive Change and has done great! We have learned during his time with us that he has specific needs in a home environment and are committed to finding him the perfect fit. Neptune can be a very happy social boy, but he needs a strong leader that can set healthy boundaries with him. A home with a single person may be best. He seems to attach himself to the mother figure in the home and then guards that person. A strong handler will be able to navigate and redirect that behavior. Neptune is very affectionate and eager to please. He really just wants a job like all Aussies do. Do you like K9 sports? Looking for an agility partner? Want to learn a new hobby like dock diving? This boy would love all of those things and could be your new best friend! Have dogs? Neptune can be very social with other dogs but does sometimes take a minute to acclimate to a new dog. He enjoys other fun loving friends that he knows. If you’ve been looking for the perfect adventure buddy and have the leadership skills Neptune needs he just might be the perfect fit for you! Story
I got Max when he was a 5 month old pup. He seemed a bit shy at first, but warmed up to us after some treats. After bringing him home, I noticed within a week that he did not take kindly to strangers. He would need to warm up to everyone he meets, and would fearfully bite any stranger trying to pet him. Fast forward to today, he is now a 14-month-old beautiful looking dog. He is very smart and energetic, and responds well to his commands (sit, stay, come) and is protective and loving to his family, but his fear aggression toward strangers is still very present. He has bitten a couple people and I am fearful of him biting more. One thing to note, however, is that he LOVES other dogs and can play with them all day. Unfortunately, he just has this biting problem that I can't seem to control, and it lowers my confidence as his owner. As much as I love Max, I decided it is best to rehome him to someone who can give him what he needs.
