Story
Tymoon is a 2 year old Toy Australian Sheppard; he'll stay small/medium. He can be an anxious dog; separation anxiety, nervous but very loving and loyal. He is a high energy dog. Tymoon loves playing catch; tennis balls are his favorite. His favorite type of toy is the ones that have that crunchy paper sound. Looking for someone who has a backyard and won't leave him alone at home for long periods. He can be shy. He does well with kids he knows, he gets anxious if too much is going on. Slow movements to start. He knows how to sit, stay, stand, jump, roll over, high-five, shake, here (will come sit next you), walk with me, ah - ah (to stop him from doing something), go to bed, need to go potty outside. Overall, he's a good dog just needs help with his anxiousness and he would be so happy with a backyard to run around. He's been exposed to one cat and does well with her. He does well at the dog parks too.

Story
Ryker is a 6 year old Australian Shepherd. He is great with other dogs, cats, and small children. He’s very sweet, mild mannered, and up for any adventures! Ryker was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy in March 2022. His seizures have been managed with medication, but he still suffers breakthrough seizures occasionally. Ryker requires medication 4 times a day, but otherwise lives a very normal life and requires a lot of activity. He loves to go on walks, hikes, really any activity with his owners! He’s very active and loves to be around people and get lots of love and attention. Our lifestyle no longer meets Ryker’s needs and we would like to give him a home where he can receive the care and attention he deserves.

Story
Bond is a highly energetic dog who is sweet and fun loving, but he needs someone who is home more often than our family. He also does not do well in a home with cats. He would probably be a great dog with obedience training, which we can't afford. Willing to pay adopt a pet fee and give $50 toward dog food for his new family

Story
To apply or see more of Nellie, https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/nelliemama LOOKING FOR FOSTER, FOSTER TO ADOPT, OR DIRECT ADOPTION Nellie was originally rescued in March 2020 from the Porterville Shelter with her 9 puppies. She was the most amazing mother to her little ones! Nellie was adopted in the spring of 2020, but now in need of a new home: She is great with kids and babies! She lives with cats and may do well with well-matched cats given proper intros, early separation, and management Nellie LOVES water, swimming and playing fetch Nellie is house-trained She would love a home with a big backyard and a flexible or WFH schedule While she lives with a dog currently, she got in a scuffle with her doggy sibling a few times over the past 2.5 years and the family feels they can no longer be in the home with each other anymore. While Nellie is, more often than not, good with dogs, we would recommend that she be your one and only. She is not reactive to dogs, but muzzle training is a great tool to provide peace of mind around other dogs She is timid with new people, but is gentle and bonds strongly with her circle. Nellie is 50 lbs, 4-5 years old, spayed, and vaccinated Nellie is currently located in CHICO, CA Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time. Follow facebook.com/heartsforpawsrescue & Instagram @heartsforpawsrescue for more!
