Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. {s1550code1114/} {s1550code1111/} {s1550code1113/} She is a very energetic dog that loves walks and to play ball. She gets along well with male dogs and is iffy with cats. She is a lot of fun and is a natural herder. She did fantastic herding ducks up in fort pierce. She resource guards but quickly retreats if you make her sit and offer something of higher value. ie a  treat, she is very good motivated. I would not put her in a home with children as they wouldn’t understand  this concept.  She is super intelligent and knows all of her commands as well as some tricks.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 21, 2025, 5:19 pm

Story
Scherzer is five years old and we have had him since he was a puppy. Unfortunately, he has developed pretty bad anxiety over the last few years. We currently have him taking anxiety meds which help a little but not a lot. He randomly pees in the house and we have a two year old and he has growled at her just for walking near him. He hasn’t actually bit her but I’m not willing to take that chance. He ends up spending a lot of time in his crate because I can’t trust him around our daughter unless I can keep an eye on him the entire time. He is very sweet with adults and likes to cuddle but he should not go to someone who has little kids and/or other dogs. I really hope there is someone out there that can give him a good loving home.

Story
Whiskey is a very high energy Aussie. We adopted two as a bonded pair. He’s a fun playful dog that needs training that we are not able to handle. Whiskey attacked the other one as they were being brought back inside from a potty walk and it scared my wife so badly that we decided that we cannot keep both dogs. The attack on his “brother” was sudden and unprovoked and after my wife was able to get them separated we have kept them in separate rooms. I believe that he would do well in a single dog situation with some discipline and more time devoted to training than we can give. This was the first time showing any real aggression toward another animal and has never shown aggression towards a human. He’s otherwise very friendly to everyone. Please reach out with any questions. We would like to get him moved out as soon as possible.

Story
Meet Denali – Your New Best Fetch Buddy! Denali is a 5-year-old, 50-pound bundle of fun, loyalty, and goofy charm, looking for his perfect forever home! This handsome neutered male Australian Shepherd is playful to the core—his absolute favorite activity is playing ball, and he's always ready for the next round of fetch. Denali’s hobbies include: Chasing the spray from a water hose Tossing stuffed animals in the air (and catching them like a pro) Going on walks Champion-level tug-of-war matches With a medium energy level, Denali thrives on shorter walks and several short play sessions throughout the day—just enough to get his zoomies out and then chill. Denali would be perfectly happy as the only dog in the home. While he coexists peacefully with other dogs and ignores them on walks, he truly prefers the attention and companionship of his humans. As long as other dogs don’t interrupt playtime, he’s just fine! He's leash-trained and walks like a champ, greeting people with friendliness and curiosity. He may pull if something exciting (like a squirrel!) catches his eye, so he’ll need a human strong enough to handle the occasional enthusiastic tug. Denali is house-trained, well-mannered indoors, and has been working on ignoring the resident cat—he’s catching on quickly and just needs continued guidance. He does get nervous during fireworks and loud noises, so he’ll need a family who can provide comfort and reassurance during stormy or noisy nights. Because of his size and strength, Denali isn’t a match for homes with small children—but he’ll make an incredible companion for adults or families with older teens who can match his energy. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving, ball-obsessed adventure buddy, Denali is ready to steal your heart. Apply to adopt Denali today—and get ready for endless games of fetch and unconditional love! Here is the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family.
