Story
Perth-Australian Shepard male, ~ 1-2 yr. (July 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application Perth was a stray in a rural area. A young family took him in, to give him safety while they looked for his family. No one was found and they've reached out to Rescue to see if we can help Perth get his very own family. He's been living a family life, with small children. The family said he's typical of his breeding, high energy and smart! He will enjoy a home with someone who understands his needs for exercise and stimulation for his mental well being. A great hiking, running partner...maybe some agility! Perth's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Juno has been well trained to live in a home. She is nicely house broken and crate trained. Her foster says of her ' Juno is very sweet Loves to play with toys & run around outside. She is very calm in her crate.' She is a working breed and would love to have a job to do around your place. She is such a wonderful, and useful, dog to have around. She has gotten along well with the other dogs she has met. No cats, though. She does not do well with them. We have had her completely vetted and made sure she has all her shots for you.  A beauty to look at, and lovely both inside and out.She would love to join your family and in no time she will be a cherished family member . HOWEVER, if you are not certain you are ready for a dog in your life, and all family members are not on board, please do not proceed to this step.   www.tinyurl.com/adopt-shpr   Opie is not old, but he is good! He is actually a young boy of about 1-2 years old, and is, in a word, a stunner. He loves people, other dogs, exploring, toys, treats, hanging out with friends, taking a nice long nap on a comfy bed (or couch, or chair, or even out on the deck). Opie was a stray and we cannot for the life of us understand why he was not reclaimed. But, he wasn't and so now we are his guardians and have promised him to find the best home who will always love and care for him. He trusts us to do that.   Opie is a lovely dog - beautiful merle markings and the brightest eyes that just light up when someone speaks to him or plays with him. He will be such a fun dog to hang with - taking walks, rides, teach new skills, or simply sit with and read a book while he munches on a juicy bone.   Opie is about 50 lbs and is up to date on his vaccines, neutered, up to date on dewormings and preventatives, and is microchipped. He's ready for you to find him! His adoption fee is $200.   www.tinyurl.com/adopt-shprMelissa Unverferth email: melissau.safehaven@gmail.com Phone: 703-725-2067Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 20, 2024, 5:13 am

Story
We are trying to help this sweet girl called Bonnie Belle to find a home since her elderly parents are in failing health and cannot care for their five dogs.  Bonnie Belle is a mix of some interesting breeds.  We think she has some Aussie and maybe Boxer in her.  The Australian Shepherd trait is what makes her a protector of the yard and home when strangers approach.  She is the home security dog officer!   This girl is losing her home because her elderly parents have fallen into bad health.  Bonnie Belle is 4 years old and weighs a little over 40 pounds.  She adores people and is good with the other dogs that she spends time with in the fenced yard.  She is housebroken, affectionate and a devoted girl to her family.  If you would like to give Bonnie her next forever home, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue who is helping her at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 20, 2024, 1:48 pm
