Story
Chipper is a very smart pup who likes to play. He likes humans and other dogs. Has not been exposed to cats. He is starting to signal when he needs to go outside to potty. He loves digging in the yard for acorns and a good chase with a ball or another pup. He would like to catch anything. He will be a tall, strong dog with a soft, velvety coat. Chipper prefers to play and chew, but will snuggle when very sleepy. What fun it will be to watch this boy grow!FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Jack-Australian Shepard male, ~ 2 yr. (Jan. 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application. Jack came to rescue in the middle of a bitter winter storm. His owner had moved and left him in his backyard, with the neighbor to watch over him. He didn't have access to the house/warmth. Another kind neighbor in the area brought up 'rescue' to the man watching over Jack and he said yes, lets get him to safety and a new home. His prior owner could no longer care or support Jack. Jack has been moved to a foster home and is safe. The new foster parents said he is a lovely young fellow, typical of his breed. He is a dog that loves to play and needs a job to feel happy and fulfilled. He's a medium/large size dog, about 58#. Jack is used to other dogs, does great. He's not interested in cats. He will enjoy an active lifestyle and be a great hiking or walking companion. He may even enjoy agility! His adoption fee is $450 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption . For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/genericYou can learn about the adoption process by visiting:  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/.  Dog's Name:  Baby Zooey (ZOO0125ALAMD)Estimated Breed:  Aussie mixApproximate Age:  DOB 10/21/24   Approximate Weight:  10 LBS Currently Living at:  Foster    Adoption Fee:  $500DOG'S DESCRIPTION:  Hi there, I'm Baby Zooey. I came all the way from Alabama with my two brothers, Baby Thor and Baby Bob. We are lucky boys; we have not had to live in a shelter as we grew up in a foster home down south. We have come to K-9 Lifesavers to find our forever homes now. Could that be with you? I am a social and friendly puppy. I love other dogs; they are my favorite! I'm always up for playtime. I'm sweet too, I've been told. I'm still learning, but I'm eager to please. At my young age, I am in my prime for training and socialization too. I promise to be the best friend you've ever had. Adopting me would mean endless love, companionship, and a loyal friend forever. I can't wait to meet you! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  .
