Story
This is a very good dog with high energy! He needs to be in a home with a yard and a lot of exercise. He loves to play with toys and play ball. He loves to play tug of war. He was a crate dog when I took him and hes doing well, but I still put him in the crate when I leave the house. He hasn’t chewed anything up except toys as puppies always do. He does pretty good on a leash. He’s learning to listen well he is just very hyper. He will be 1 year old in December, just needs a good loving home 😀 He sits, shakes paw and I have a bell hanging on door he rings to go outside! He’s learning to love more and more every day! He is neutered, up to date on shots, heart worm tested negative and on heart worm preventative, he is also microchipped!

URGENT Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Romulus, MI Meet Zeke! He is an 4 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 55 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Zeke is good with farm animals and other dogs! No children or cats, due to his reactivity! Zeke bit the owner’s neighbor on the hand in 2021 after they tried to let him out. He recently bit the owner after walking into the house to take his son to the car. Zeke bit the owner’s wife while she was trying to lock him in a room. He also bit the owner’s father-in-law on the hand while he was going after the cat. He is on 100mg twice a day for his anxiety. The owner is surrendering him because he is jealous of their young son. He needs to go by 12/31! If you think you can provide a great home for Zeke, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Zeke. Story
Yozuri and her sister Yamaha were found when their foster parents were on a walk. The sisters came trotting out of the woods where they had been living in a cardboard box. They were vetted and fostered and adopted to a home. Due to unforeseen circumstances that were not at all of her making, Yozuri finds herself back in the care of Save a Stray once again hoping for a forever home. Yozuri is just happy about life. She is housetrained and crate trained. She gets along with everyone, loves toys, and playing fetch. Yozuri is smart, comes when called, and gives attention easily. She is a playful girl but also loves to snuggle. She is a delight to have around. This girl deserves a home to treat her like a princess. If Yozuri sounds like the one for you and your lifestyle, please read info below regarding adopting. Complete an application at https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635. Story
Freckles is a female Australian Shepherd mix. She has some fear reactivity issues with unfamiliar people and dogs that she has been working on. She would need a slow introduction if meeting a new dog. Freckles does get along with the other dogs at her foster home. The best fit home for her would be a calm adult only home. Approximate date of birth is 6/22/2014

Sissi is the sweetest Australian Shepherd. She loves being petted, going for walks, playing catch and having her belly rubbed. She is a great watch dog and very loyal. I am so sad to be rehoming her, but she needs more attention than I am able to provide right now.

Story
Hey everyone! Lily here from GLDR! I'm a two-year-old, 45-pound, Aussie mix who is ready to zoomie my way into your life! After sitting in the kennel since October without a single application, my fabulous foster mom brought me home to her place to hang out while I wait for my forever family to come my way. She says I'm the best houseguest and I am so thankful for the break she's given me. I'm happy to report I'm both house-trained and crate-trained! I spend my days enjoying my favorite stuffy toys and daily walks. I'd love to have a yard of my own at my new home where I can sprint the day away! A fenced-in yard would be preferred, though a tie out could work as long as I get my daily exercise. When it comes to food, I'm always up for a meaty treat and like to hide them around the house to enjoy whenever I please! I've been told I'm a very smart pup and I love food puzzles and lots of enrichment. I know my basic commands and am capable of learning more. Keeping me exercised and engaged is the best way to keep me happy! I'd do best with an experienced handler and someone who loves being outside exploring as much as I do. My foster mom says I have great recall. Up for a road trip? I do well in the car and look forward to all the places we could go together! At the end of a fun-filled day, I love to snuggle up on the couch with my foster mom. I prefer to lay my head in your lap and will gently paw you to let you know to keep those pets coming! I sleep quietly through the night in my crate and I've been old I have the cutest little snore! What type of home am I looking for? Glad you asked! I'd love an active home with adults or older children. If you have kids, they should be ages 12 and up and be respectful when I'd like my space. Though I have lived with other dogs before, I'm selective with my furry friends so a meet and greet would be best. If I'm being honest, I think I'd prefer to be the only pup in the house to soak up all the love on my own. If I sound like your kind of gal, please fill out an application at greatlakesdogrescue.com today! See you soon!
