Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Grand Blanc, MI Meet Mocha! He is an 2 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 65 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Mocha is hostile around strangers! He is good with other dogs! He hasn’t been tested around younger children. No older children or cats, due to his reactivity! Mocha jumped up and bit 2 teenagers while they were walking by at a campground. One of these instances occurred while he was on leash and the other occurred in a fenced area. Mocha bit the owner’s friend while he was on leash and they walked by. He bit the owner’s husband while he was trying to put Mocha in his kennel. The most recent bite incident occurred when the owner’s dad was working on something in their house. Mocha ran up and bit him on the leg. The owner is surrendering him because of these bite incidents. They also aren’t able to provide the exercise that he needs. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Mocha, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Mocha. East Tn and out of state is welcome! In fact if you are seeing this on adopt a pet please note the pet is being fostered in Athens TN and the adoption fee does include the transport fee as well as the health certificate required by the USDS for state to state travel. We use Rescue riders because they are the best and so great with our pups! Meet Aster. He has already been dewormed twice, had two rounds of puppy shots, bordetella vaccine, microchipped and neutered. We are accepting applications for them at petpath.org. He will come with a leash and collar as well as his records. We are told he is about 12 weeks old now. He is one cool confident and cute pup!!! He is also playful, sweet. All of these pups have great confidence. He is great with other dogs too. The momma dog passed away and the finders are uncertain why. She was malnourished emaciated and just passed away. She was found with these puppies under a shed. The property owners moved and left the momma dog. The finder was paid to move the shed and found them and couldn’t leave them there. They fed and took care of them for three weeks. We are thankful they have a heart and helped this little family. Now it’s our turn to help get their vaccines and spay and neutered and them find amazing homes. This boy was brought back because he was too much of a puppy who chewed because he was left alone and bored. So he is on the hunt for a family who will understand his needs and keep him busy!! He has a lot of energy and playing is his thing. He likes to play with other dogs, chew on toys and run run run. He does fine with kids, will have to learn about cats. He will need some work on housetraining and leashes. He is a bit stubborn when learning manners so will need a family who can work with that. A routine that occupies his time would also be a plus as that works with his breed mix. He is a sweet boy that has a wonderfully fun personality who just wants to live to the fullest. He needs a life full of adventures and activities and we know that family is out there for him. Dax is being fostered in TN but no worries because we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. They transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest.

Freckles is a female Australian Shepherd mix. She has some fear reactivity issues with unfamiliar people and dogs that she has been working on. She would need a slow introduction if meeting a new dog. Freckles does get along with the other dogs at her foster home. The best fit home for her would be a calm adult only home.
