Story
Luna is a sweet and loving 6 year old dog that we adopted into our family shortly after getting married in 2019. She was kept in a cage from the previous owners who got her from a breeder. We now have 2 kids and 1 of them is sadly allergic to dogs. Luna loves people and playing with other dogs. She’s energetic and playful. Luna likes playing tug of war and running around outside. She likes chewing stuffed animals and knows what ones are hers vs the kids. She gets allergy shots every spring and is kept up with vet visits. Luna is very loved, but with the busy work schedules, a toddler and infant, allergies and us hardly ever home during the week. We want her to go to someone who can give her more attention and love.

Story
Hey everyone! Lily here from GLDR! I'm a two-year-old, 45-pound, Aussie mix who is ready to zoomie my way into your life! After sitting in the kennel since October without a single application, my fabulous foster mom brought me home to her place to hang out while I wait for my forever family to come my way. She says I'm the best houseguest and I am so thankful for the break she's given me. I'm happy to report I'm both house-trained and crate-trained! I spend my days enjoying my favorite stuffy toys and daily walks. I'd love to have a yard of my own at my new home where I can zoomie the day away! A fenced-in yard would be preferred, though a tie out could work as long as I get my daily exercise. When it comes to food, I'm always up for a meaty treat and like to hide them around the house to enjoy whenever I please! I've been told I'm a very smart pup and I love food puzzles and lots of enrichment. I know my basic commands and am capable of learning more. Keeping me exercised and engaged is the best way to keep me happy! I'd do best with an experienced handler and someone who loves being outside exploring as much as I do. My foster mom says I have great recall. Up for a road trip? I do well in the car and look forward to all the places we could go together! At the end of a fun-filled day, I love to snuggle up on the couch with my foster mom. I prefer to lay my head in your lap and will gently paw you to let you know to keep those pets coming! I sleep quietly through the night in my crate and I've been old I have the cutest little snore! What type of home am I looking for? Glad you asked! I'd love an active home with adults or older children. If you have kids, they should be ages 12 and up and be respectful when I'd like my space. Though I have lived with other dogs before, I'm selective with my furry friends so a meet and greet would be best. If I'm being honest, I think I'd prefer to be the only pup in the house to soak up all the love on my own. If I sound like your kind of gal, please fill out an application at greatlakesdogrescue.com today! See you soon!

Story
Myles Barkley is a very sweet, but active, young'un. He adores cheek kisses, going to car rides, going for walks or runs, and just generally hanging out with his people. Myles is good with dogs, cats, and kids (but no young ones that will grab and pull on him).. He would make a great agility dog - that boy has talent, it just needs to be directed.

Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. January 5, 2025, 4:10 pm
