Story
Echo has been a part of our family since he was 8 weeks old! Recently I (mom) developed severe allergies and can no longer have pets in the house. We are devastated and want to find him the best home possible. Echo is the sweetest guy. He is good with my kids. He will walk on a leash but pulls often. He will sit, lay, jump for treats. He barks at dogs and neighbors as they go by the house or if he is on his leash. We had one issue 2 years ago where he snapped at a stranger who approached my son when he was out on a walk. He got her finger. We haven’t had any issues since then. He is good with anyone we welcome into the house but does not like being leashed when meeting new people. He’s current on rabies but needs to be updated on other shots. I have a bed, kennel and grooming tools we would be happy to give you. I would also like you to meet Echo before applying to adopt. Thank you!

Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Lincoln, NE Meet Zuko! He is an 4 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 40 lbs. He is neutered, but isn’t up to date on shots or on heartworm prevention. Zuko is fearful of strangers! He is good with kids! He hasn’t been tested around cats. No dogs, due to his reactivity! He previously belonged to the owner’s parents, but they are no longer able to care for him. The owner is surrendering him because she moved away and is unable to take care of him permanently. If you think you can provide a great home for Zuko, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Zuko. Owner’s Contact Information: Ferial at ferialfhasan@gmail.com.

Story
Kadie is a sweet aussie mix b.10/2019 looking for an active family, preferably with herding dog experience who understands the needs of thebreed.Kadie is a very smart and energetic girl with a strong herding instinct. This sweet pup has come a long way with her current owner but, unfortunately, Kadie had a rough start to her life. She is looking for a forever homethat can offer her some basic training/help her learn commands and a patient familythat wants to help a smart young dog work through a few rough patches. Kadie loves to meet new people and is a social butterfly, her favorite people tend to be kids of all ages! Kadieis a verysmart dog who requires daily exercise (long walks or backyard play), would benefit from a routine, and would love someone who can continue to build her confidence/trust through training and socialization. Sheis very food motivated and is already kennel trained.Kadie hasn't been around too many dogs and is a little hit or miss when it comes to making canine friends, she tends to like the smaller chill senior pups. She is notabig fan of them on her walks, but she's had some postive interactions.Because of her limited interactions with other 4 legged friends, her formerowner thinks that she might do best as an only dog or in a home with a calm, older, wiser dogto provide comfort and friendship while she learns the ropes. Kadieis ready to go home andsettle in with a family that understands her needs and can give her the love she deserves! The suggested adoption donation for Kadieis $350. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization which means that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2020 alone, we were able to provide animal Healthcare costing over $241,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal's foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. Story
Hank (b. 2/2021) is an affectionate Australian Shepherd mix.  He's a really good boy, he just gets a little nervous sometimes.  He loves snuggling and giving hugs or getting pets. He will even stand on his hind legs to get hugs!  He does great with his toys and will let you take them with no problems.  He is a VERY active dog, and loves to play tug-o-war and fetch (even though he doesn’t always want to drop the ball). He would do anything for a treat or an ice cube… he loves to catch and eat ice cubes as fast as he can. Hank is looking for an adult only home and even better if you work from home or are home often.  He needs someone that would be willing to work with him and give him a little training.  A fenced-in yard would be preferred since he has a ton of energy.  Hank is a little sensitve about having his paws touched and it just depends on his mood whether or not he will let you.  If you are calm and patient, then you just might be the perfect match for Hank.  Apply today!! The suggested adoption donation for Hank is $325. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization which means that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Story
Buddy (b 10/2015) is a handsome Australian Shepherd looking for his furever home. While this loverboy loves the Aussie ladies, he can be dog selective so he'll need more than one good introduction to any other dogs in the home.  Buddy's the kinda guy that never wanted kids of his own (which is why he decided to get neutered) and doesn't really want to live with any young children... or cats.  And while we're at it, he doesn't really want to live with any other small critters, either.  Buddy's perfect home would include a fenced in back yard where he can play frisbee, sunbathe, sniff all the sniffs, and daydream.  Buddy is a chatty kind of guy (not well suited for apartment living) who likes to go on long walks with his people.  He's a great traveling companion, loves car rides and the great outdoors.  Most of all, Buddy really loves his people and would prefer someone who can be home with him for most of the day or take him with them when they leave.  He is not a fan of loud noises (storms, beeping noises, vacuum, fireworks or washing machines), they can make him a bit anxious.  Buddy has a severe allergy to chicken so he enjoys a pescatarian diet.  He takes a chew supplement everyday for hip dysplasia, but don't let him fool you - Buddy has a lot of play left in him!  If Buddy sounds like your kinda guy, apply for him today! The suggested adoption donation for Buddy is $350, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Story
Meet Delilah, your loyal protector and loving companion - a beautiful 7-year-old (b. 2017) Australian Shepherd with a heart of gold! Delilah is an incredibly well-trained companion. She's housebroken, crate trained, and gets along well with other dogs. Her friendly nature makes her an ideal playmate for older kids (age 6+) who understand her gentle quirks. Being a typical Aussie, Delilah's herding instincts sometimes make her nervous around little ones. Delilah loves fetching and knows her basic commands, she is eager to please and quick to learn. Delilah's loyalty knows no bounds. She's protective of her family and will bark initially when meeting new people, but all it takes is a few treats and some patience to win her heart. While she initially prefers women, she warms up to men with time, craving nothing more than affection and attention once she trusts you. This loving girl thrives in an environment where she has space to run and play. A home with a yard or access to outdoor activities would be ideal for her energetic personality. Delilah is eagerly waiting to embark on her next adventure with a family who will cherish her loyal spirit and loving nature. Let's make Delilah's journey to her forever home a joyful one!
