Story
In Benton: Meli (May-Lee) is a gorgeous 7 yr old female Aussie with a spunky and optimistic personality! She loves everyone she meets and wants to be in your lap. Super sweet & loving! Meli is good with cats and dogs, although she doesn't like other dogs all over her and in her face. She very much prefers people, and even ignores the neighbors goats and chickens in favor of being close to her person. Meli received a clean bill of health from the vet in February. She's up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, house trained, crate trained, and knows basic obedience including having a phenomenal recall! Meli enjoys walks and car rides and she's learning not to pull on leash. Some of her manners are a work in progress, she loves food and attention and will jump up for both unless she's told to sit first. Meli is eager to please and will gladly work for belly rubs (Which is fantastic since she's trying to shed a little more than fur ?) As we make progress in her weight loss journey, Meli's energy has skyrocketed! She has all the enthusiasm of a two year old without the puppy mischief and settles well indoors. She loves being given a job or game to learn and would be a great companion for a moderately active family. If Meli sounds perfect for you, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new furever family.

Story
Sandy was likely dumped after years of being bred. She loves human attention and snuggling. She is scared of most new things as she really never experienced much. Once she knows you she is a doll who loves walks and snuggles. She is in foster with klds and dogs. She does not know how to play with other dogs and prefers human interaction. She has shown no aggression. She is learning crate training and doing great on potty training She is estimated to be about 3 years old and 45 lbs All our dogs/cats are vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, on preventions, and spayed/neutered if old enough. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Adora is adorable! We are not exactly sure what her mix is. Mom somewhat resembles an Aussie mix. But it's also entirely possible there's some catahoula leopard dog in the mix as well. Whatever she is, she is 100% amazing. She has stunning blue eyes. We believe Adora is also deaf or partially deaf. This doesn't make her any less adoptable. She may also have some vision issues but she is not blind. We took her to an animal eye care vet and she confirmed that Adora can see. It's recommended that she go back at 4 months just to make sure there's no vision concerns.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 14, 2025, 11:49 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bixby is a wonderfully sweet boy.  He loves being an inside dog, he is for sure a lap dog.  He loves all people and all dogs, he seems to prefer female dogs his size or smaller, he was a little uncertain around his Newfoundland foster brother, who is enormous compared this compact boy, but is finding his confidence around him. Bixby is great with kids, however, due to his young age, any kids in the home should be at least 6 years old.   He will do best in a home with at least another canine companion, preferably a female to help burn off energy.  If his adopter is very active then he'd do very well in that environment without a canine companion.   Bixby has a lot of energy, so he will require a fenced yard, physical fencing attached to the home, no underground fencing, so he will be safe getting his energy out.  He loves playing fetch and rough housing with one of his foster sisters.  He settles excellently inside the home once all energy is used up.  Bixby has been neutered, microchipped and is update to date on all vaccines and preventatives.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 15, 2025, 1:10 pm

Story
We are seeking a new forever home for our sweet dog, Marley. She's an affectionate and obedient companion, knowing commands like "sit," "lay down," and "fetch." Marley is best as the only dog in the household and is not suitable for homes with infants or small children due to past incidents. Marley loves to cuddle, play ball, and will comfort you when you're feeling down. She enjoys snacks like carrots and watermelon and is a bit spoiled (in the best way!). She also has a strong hunting instinct, so any critters in the yard beware! If you’re looking for a loyal and intelligent companion, Marley may be the perfect fit for you! Please reach out if interested. Thank you for considering giving Marley a loving home!
