Story
Hi I'm Sky,I am a very smart and sweet young girl. I am a mixed breed, but being part Aussie Shepherd, I do have a lot of energy, but as anyone who knows Aussie Shepherds you will know how smart and loyal we are. I am highly intelligent and learn really quickly. I can be a little shy at the start with new people, but just give me a few minutes to warm up and I will show you my gentle and loving nature. I am very affectionate and love to be snuggled and get lots of cuddles and rubs. I love to play and get along well with other large dogs. I'm not a lover of small dogs. I like to play hard, a good bit of "rough and tumble", so small dogs do not like that! I love to chase balls and I will give them back to you when you want it. I'm very good that way. I like treats and I'm very gentle taking them from you. I would do best in an active home with a family that will love me and give me lots of exercise. I would love to go on hikes, or be a running buddy and would love to spend lots of time outdoors. I would also be an amazing agility or games dog. I thrive if I'm active and learning new things. Once I have an outlet for my energy I am great in the house and will happily nestle in for some down time. I haven't lived with children before, I've only been in an adult home. I like to be around my hoomans and get lots of love and attention. I do have a high prey drive so I would be best suited to a home with no cats. I am very treat motivated (Liver treats are my favourite) which is ideal for training. I walk pretty well on a leash and with a little training and once I get to know you and love you I will improve and I would probably be fine to walk off leash beside you. I like to swim and love to play tug of war. In my previous home, I had a crate which was always open. I would go in there to rest when I was tired. I am good in the car. I am house trained and clean. I know some basic commands, but am so excited to continue to learn much more. I have been good at the vets and getting my nails trimmed. Sometimes when new people come, I may bark a little, but like I said, I just need a few minutes and a little patience to warm up to strangers. I am really just a puppy. I am super excited to find my furever family. Please come and meet me, I want to go home! Primary Color: Red Merle Weight: 24.7 Age: 1yrs 6mths 1wks

Story
I may be a senior dog, but my heart is as big as they come. I've had quite a journey, and I'm on the lookout for a special person who can understand and appreciate my unique personality. I'll be the first to admit that I'm a bit lazy and goofy, and I love nothing more than lounging around and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. But there's more to me than meets the eye. I have a natural protective instinct, and sometimes I can be a little fearful, which is why I need someone confident and strong to guide me. I've had some training at Dog Tales, and I'm ready to put it into practice with a patient and dedicated owner. I need someone who can provide constant guidance and use the training we've learned on a daily basis. With the right structure and routine, I can flourish. When it comes to meeting new people, I need slow and controlled introductions, and I'll wear a muzzle for everyone's safety. It's not because I'm mean; it's just my way of saying that I need time to feel comfortable and secure. Once I'm comfortable with someone, I'm a whole different dog. I'm affectionate, playful, and fiercely loyal. If you give me the time and space I need to trust you, you'll see just how loving and charming I can be. If you're a confident and experienced dog owner looking for a big-hearted companion who just needs a little extra care and attention, I might be the perfect match for you. Together, we can navigate life's ups and downs and create a bond that's truly special.
