Story
Doppio!! Adopt this perfect girl, because when I tell you she's perfect. I mean it. She is perfect! This girl would fit in anywhere, with a home full of dogs with a home full of cats with a home full of kids with a childless home that's active. Doesn't matter. This girl just wants to be in a home with others. Simply living her best life. She's just happy to be here. ❤️ Crate, no problem. Potty trained, no problem. The perfect snuggle bug at night to nuzzle your face and sleep in with, no problem. ❤️🤜🏻🤛🏻♥️ Have I mentioned that she is super smart and learns quickly? She does!! Again, she's perfect.

Story
Meet Pepper Pogo the Party Puppy! She’s an itty bitty low-riding Catahoula mix (~25 lbs) and at just under a year old she is the life of the party! Whether you’re on the go or on the couch, Miss Pogo wants to be right beside you. She’s got the typical working dog traits of being high energy, loyal, and smart, so an active forever home would be perfect for her. She seems to love dogs but cats are just too tempting to chase to live with right now. She already knows basic commands and is eager to please, so her potential is limitless!!If you would like to meet Miss Pogo, please fill out an application. https://oneloveanimalrescue.com/pre-adoption-application

Story
In Summerville: Meet Millie. Like most rescues she has had a rough start to her life and has some PTSD but she is really starting to work through them and build trust with people. She is a beautiful 3 yo blue Merle that came from a puppy mill. When her breeding life was done she was put on a euthanasia list but luckily was saved by our rescue. Upon coming to rescue she was incredibly untrusting of people and had no emotion in her eyes. She would not let me pet her and would not eat food while I was in the house. Fast forward 6 weeks she took treats for the first time but still didn’t trust enough to let me pet her. Getting into her personal space would trigger a frantic response to get away. Now after 11 weeks I can walk up to her and pet her. She still will not come to me for petting but you can see in her body language that she really wants to be loved. Another trigger for Millie is having a collar and leash put on. This makes her freeze and shut down. We have been working on this and making slow progress but it is improving. She is very collar sensitive so will need continued work on that. Millie may never be a cuddle buddy but she will make someone a great companion dog. She will need someone kind and gentle but also someone who will push her to try new things to help build her confidence and gain trust in people. She has come such a long way but still has quite a way to go. Because she is still so unsure of her surroundings and quick movements scare her I would not recommend her for a house with young children. Her sweet disposition and eagerness to get over her barriers will melt your heart the minute you meet her. She gets along well with my dog although she does not engage in play. She is discovering toys and starting to have fun throwing them around. Anyone willing to put in a little work to build a relationship with her will get a fantastic loving dog that will show a loyalty unmatched by many dogs. If you think Millie is a good fit for you, pleae fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new furever family.
