Story
Elijah is ready to find his forever home. Elijah is a 2 1/2 year old Australian Shepherd/Husky cross (best guess). He has the most beautiful blue eyes! He is being fostered in Soddy Daisy, TN. Elijah was found wandering a neighborhood in TN. A family took him in and kept him safe while they searched for an owner, which was never found. They wanted what was best for him and reached out to ASF. Upon coming into rescue, it was found that Elijah was heartworm positive. ASF jumped into action for his treatment plan and he completed treatment with no complications at all and he is now heartworm free! The ideal home for Elijah would be one where he can be a part of the family. He's a friendly and happy boy. It would be best to have a home without small children, just because of his size, he weighs right at 65 lbs. Older children would be fine. He gets along great with other dogs. No cats or livestock, as he is a little too interested and wants to chase them. A taller fence, such as a privacy fence or taller than the standard 4 ft fence is recommended. That's due to the husky in him and wanting to explore. He walks well on the leash so a fence isn't necessarily required if he has someone who is very active and would include him in daily activities on the leash, walks, hikes, outings, etc. Elijah is neutered up to date on all vaccines, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention and is microchipped. Elijah will make a wonderful companion and is ready to take on new adventures with his new person or family! A link to our adoption application can be found below. https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/old-adoption There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
My husband and I found our precious baby boy in a flea market in Alabama, as soon as we saw his adorable face our hearts melted and he had to come home with us. Unfortunately the land we rent is being developed so we are having to move out and sadly cannot take all of our dogs with us. Dante is now about 1 year and 8 months as of this month, since we brought him home we did notice he was very shy with my husband, and soon learned he had a particular fear or distrust towards males, but I'm sure that with enough love, time and attention he will learn to trust!

Story
Melvin is VERY loving. He's silly, loyal and very easy to love. He needs a big yard to run around in. Ours is too small. We adopted him from the shelter here in Cleveland, TN. He was so grateful, and let us know that with lots of lovins'. It breaks my heart to rehome him, but I love him enough to do what's best for him. My husband and I are 70 years old and don't have the energy we used to. Melvin needs an energetic family to walk him and play outside with him. He loves my 7 year old grandson. He let's him put glasses and hats and silly things on his head without protesting. Lol. I guess all I really want for Mel is for someone to love him like we do. It isn't hard to do, believe me.

Story
We are actually trying the find a new home for both our Australian shepherds. Our house got destroyed and living in a rental right now, that doesn;t allow pets. Rusty is the sweetest cuttle bear you will ever meet, hs very affectionate and always wants please people. Dixie is a tricolor female Australian Shepherd. Shes a darling and a bit of a princess ( she doesnt like dirt) she has not been fixed yet but Rusty is. We had them both since they were puppies, they are 4 1/2 and 5 years old. They grew up together with our two children on our homestead with other animals. They are mostly outside dogs but were also allowed in the house and know to do their business outside. We do not wish to separate them, theyve never spend a day apart from each other ( except when Rusty got neutered). They got most their shots but those need to be refreshed. Having to give them up is the hardest thing for us. But we are not able to give them the attention they deserve in our current situation.
