Story
Meet Cindy, the senior Australian Shepherd with a heart full of sass and a penchant for squeaky toys! At a wise age (she prefers not to disclose), Cindy spends her days in her favorite pastime: slow, thoughtful walks where every blade of grass is meticulously sniffed, and every squirrel is a potential lifelong friend. She’s a connoisseur of toys, with a special attachment to her beloved squeaky toy, which she carries around like a trophy. When you talk to her, she tilts her head with the intensity of a philosopher pondering the mysteries of the universe—or, you know, just wondering if that treat you’re offering is for her. She's the queen of naps and the undefeated champion of toy-fetching (at a pace that is distinctly leisurely).

Story
Looking to rehome a 5-year-old Border Collie/Aussie mix named Olli. He’s a sweet, cuddly guy who looks like a little black bear. Olli would do best in a home with older children or adults, and without other pets. Unfortunately, he has shown some bullying behavior toward his previous dog sibling and has bitten him when overly excited- never any other dogs though. While Olli has never bitten a person, he can get reactive around children who are roller skating or running nearby, probably due to his herding breed. He knows basic commands like sit, shake, down, and stay. He loves going for walks, is food-motivated, and is a true morning guy. Olli is shy when meeting new people but warms up with time and patience.

Story
Harley Quinn is an amazing 1 year old medium sized cattle dog mix, who is the fasted tripod this side of the Mississippi! Weighing in around 35 lbs, she is the perfect size to accompany her adoptive family on adventures, give kisses and snuggles, and wrestle with her friends. Harley Quinn is a favorite in her foster home! She is wonderful with the other dogs and cats of all ages and sizes in her foster home, and can often be found wrestling with a playful chihuahua or snuggling with a fellow 3 legged cat! Harley is VERY house trained, and even dog door trained, and has never had a single accident in her foster home. Harley is crate trained and enjoys the retreat of her crate for meals and anytime she is unattended, and is great about resting quietly anytime she is asked to. Her favorite things are laying underfoot in the kitchen, licking the dirty dishes, packing around squeaky toys, playing with her dog friends, and following her people around. She can be timid at times and is learning to trust, however she really wants to and is a super good girl, just ready to learn and be her best! Harley comes from a local Utah tribal reservation where she was found with her foot missing. Chances are she was caught in a foot trap and our only option to save her life was amputation. She is fast and agile however, and is not looking for sympathy! This girl is a champ, tough as nails, and gets around as good as her 4 legged buddies!Harley is house and crate trained, and can be trusted in the home with access to a dog door. She is wonderful with other pets and loves all people. She is still young and can sometimes explore the world with her mouth so a mindful home where she has boundaries and structure to set her up to succeed is a must. Harley will also need some patience as she learns how to walk nicely on leash (she is on her way!) and would be happiest in a home where she had her own backyard to meander, relax and explore. Harley is smart (knows 'sit') and is healthy and resilient. She is fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and health checked. Her adoption fee is just $200. To be considered, please apply online at caws.org. Please note that we work to select adoptive homes that best meet the needs of the animals in our care, and not on a first come, first served basis. Thanks! If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationMarch 25, 2025, 6:47 am

Story
This stunning guy is Misio, pronounced 'Misho' which is Polish for Teddy Bear. Misio is a 9 year old Australian Shepherd who is currently on a diet to get to his ideal weight of about 37 pounds. Misio is looking for a patient and mature household to live the rest of his years. He is working through some trust issues and is learning to let his guard down. But once he knows you are safe, he will be yours forever. Misio likes to be near people but isnt overly cuddly, he is content to be in his own space near you. He'd do best in a home with adults only and no other animals. Misio is still very active and he would love to be your hiking, camping, or running companion! He is very outgoing and loves to chase a ball around the yard. He is also very smart and picks up on training quickly. Misio needs a forever home that can provide him with mental stimulation and a physical outlet. He can be chill in the house, but is also not a couch potato. He is house trained and crate trained and walks well on leash. With a little bit of training, a dash of patience, and a person who will be active with him, Misio will be an amazing companion for years to come! Dogs are not placed on a first- come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting Misio, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationApril 16, 2025, 7:22 am
