Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Walker, WV Meet Axel! He is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd/Black Lab mix and weighs around 40 lbs. He is up to date on shots but isn’t on heartworm prevention or neutered. Axel is good with younger children and dogs! He hasn’t been tested around older children or cats. He is housebroken and crate trained. Axel originally belonged to a family member’s ex-husband but was later abandoned. The current owner is surrendering him because they are unable to keep him, due to their living situation. He needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Axel, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. Marley or MooMoo was adopted from our shelter as a puppy several years ago. Her owner had a baby and no longer has time for her, so she has been tied out to a box. MooMoo is ready for her forever home. Sometimes she is fearful of men, but with calm introductions she should be able to get along with anyone. She is spayed and up to date on her vaccines. If you're interested in adding MooMoo to your family, her adoption fee is $150 with an approved application.

Oreo was adopted from us a few years ago but was sadly returned today 3/16/2024. She is a beautiful Pit/ Aussie mix that is now 3 years old. She is spayed, up to date and house trained. Oreo was returned because she started showing too much interest in the house cat and tried attacking it. She is also not good around small dogs. She lived with another bigger dog and did great. She is very sad and nervous being back in the shelter. We would love to find her a home with no little animals and possibly one other large doggy friend (meet and greet would be required). She absolutely adores her humans and younger children. She would follow them anywhere and listens very well. She loves to go play outdoors and go for walks. Would do best in an active home. Adoption fee is $100.00
