Story
Abandoned with his siblings, Heath found himself in an unfamiliar land, timid and scared.  A cold-hearted person couldn't find homes for 3 6-month-old puppies, and instead of contacting their local animal shelter, they drove them to an uninhabited area, put them outside the car, and drove away!  HART For Animals offered to give two of the found puppies placement in our facility.  The third puppy found a home.  Heath is a very sweet boy, who has the look of a Doberman and Australian Shepherd mix, but maybe mixed with a hound.  Of course, we don't know what his breed mixture is for sure and we can only guess.  Though shy, Heath is affectionate and will only gain confidence from a family that will give him the love and acceptance he needs. He would do best going into a home with a well-socialized dog, that he can copy and help grow his confidence.  After acclimating to his new home, going out to new places and meeting new people and dogs would help him socialize. Please Note:  You must live within a 175-mile radius of our facility to be considered for adoption. Please do not send us an inquiry unless you have specific questions. All our dogs and puppies are spayed or neutered, vaccinated for rabies, Bordetella, and distemper/parvo, given flea medication, heartworm/Lyme tested, and given a microchip before going to their new home. ##2324407##
