Sophie is a sweet 7-year-old white/pied English Bulldog who loves to play in the water and is highly treat-driven. She was surrendered to us when her previous owners moved and could no longer keep her. Sophie doesn’t always play well with other dogs, but she gets along better with males she mostly does her own thing and loves to follow her human around for attention. She would thrive, in a home with only one other dog, preferably male. If she is brought into your home I would not put her immediately with another dog but give her time and space with slow introductions. It will take some time for Sophie to feel comfortable and secure in a new home. Sophie needs a patient owner who can provide her with the love and stability she requires to feel at home. She is in good health for her age, but requires eye drops as she doesn’t see that well. We have had Sophie for four months, and during this time, she has shown her love for water play and her eagerness for treats. She is potty trained but she will most likely have accidents in transition. She is crate trained that is her home and she will let you know when she wants out. Her English bulldog talk is incredible and hilarious. She is not tested with cats but if you have some and they do their own thing then, she will be fine. Older kids are a plus not toddlers. She needs time to adjust and feel at home, so an understanding and loving environment is essential. Meet Harvey, the ultimate goofball and squish mallow incarnate! This 7-month-old French Bulldog-English Bulldog mix weighs in at a hefty 23 lbs and boasts the personality to match. He is currently being fostered in Scottsdale, AZ. Harvey’s journey began in a SoCal shelter, where he was a medical pull due to a prolapse. He was found as a stray on the streets of Riverside, CA. Not one to do things halfway, he prolapsed again three hours after his first surgery, leading to another surgery the very same day. A third, more invasive surgery finally fixed his telescoping intestines and tacked his rectum to his body wall. All his surgeries totaled $4150.00. Now, Harvey is fit as a fiddle, back on track with his poops, and living his best puppy life! Harvey is the class clown of the canine world. He bulldozes through life with playful spirit, often mouthing hands and requiring double-handed petting sessions. His foster siblings either join in his antics or give him the cold shoulder, but Harvey knows when he’s being ignored and will simply toddle off to find more fun. He loves playing with toys and tosses them around rolling on the ground wrestling them. His recent weight gain has him looking like a squish mallow pillow, with ears that are to die for and an underbite that could steal the show on any red carpet. Harvey’s sad eyes from the day we got him are as bright as the sun now full of happiness and love. Despite his rough start, Harvey’s zest for life remains undimmed. He gets along with all dogs and people, though we recommend older kids (10+) to keep up with his rambunctious play. He is learning the difference in playtime and relax time but if a toy is involved around him there is a good chance he will snatch it from a younger child. Not in an aggressive way but just to be silly and play. Harvey is learning the ropes of potty training, basic commands, and leash walking, although true to his bulldog nature, he sometimes couldn’t care less. His antics are endlessly entertaining, and his quirks are purely adorable. If you’re searching for a rare gem who’ll shower you with unconditional love and play himself to sleep, Harvey is your guy. We know that Harvey will be great with any type of family setting and even better with a canine buddy! He’s truly one of a kind and ready to fill your home with laughter and love! He doesn't like to be touched to much or for long. He doesn't play with toys but does like playing tug a war with a towel. He's a dog that really minds his own. Is low on energy. When he goes on walks yes he's a puller. But doesn't bark at people or other dogs. He is an inside dog. He is skiddish and unpredictable at times. Tubby 15 months old and is a happy go lucky and very loving little guy. He just wants to be loved and is content hanging out with Mom or Dad or playing with his toys. As an English bulldog, he’s not the great at listening to commands, but treats change his mind every time. He is a diaper baby, but is good at letting us change his diaper. He has spina bifida, but you’d never know it from his energy. We’re very sad to have to give him up, but my husband had a heart transplant and difficult to take care of Tubby at times.

When Leroy came to us he had been at county and was very sick with pretty extensive needs. Leroy had not been cared for well in a very long time and it showed. Every movement that he made appeared painful due to his skin condition. We took Leroy to dermatology and began “Operation: make Leroy feel nice”. We began a regimen of baths, medication, ointment, wipes, and lots of TLC, and slowly but surely, we began to see improvement in Leroy’s skin and overall demeanor. Ongoing needs for Leroy looks like a bath once a week, wiping wrinkles and eye drops once a day. Here at Sky Sanctuary, we not only invest in our animals physical health, but their physical health as well. Therefore, we send a number of our dogs to board and train to be professionally trained. Leroy did AMAZING in training and continues to make us all proud since graduating. Leroy is ready now more than ever for his forever home!! Leroy is an English Bulldog who is about 8 years old. I'm house trained and have been a joy to be around in my foster home. I'm very well behaved. I'm athletic and strong and would love to go on hikes and walks with you. Camping also sounds like fun!
