Adopt Biscotti: A Sweet and Spirited French Bulldog Ready for Her Forever Home Meet Biscotti, an adorable 2-year-old French Bulldog with a heart full of love and a spirit that can’t be broken. Biscotti came to us from a heartbreaking puppy mill situation, but despite her past, she’s blossoming into a sweet, playful, and curious girl who’s ready to find a family that will give her the care and affection she truly deserves. What We Know About Biscotti: • Personality: Biscotti is a cuddler through and through. She loves to snuggle up and fall asleep with her favorite human by her side, and she’s the kind of dog who will melt right into you at night. Despite her rough start, she’s a happy, affectionate little ham with a personality that shines through. • Special Needs: Biscotti has some challenges due to her past, including facial paralysis and some vision issues. She’s a bit head shy and sometimes wobbles around, but nothing that slows her down too much. She’s still learning to trust and adjust, but every day she’s making progress and gaining confidence. Biscotti’s face paralysis means she doesn’t have full control of her expressions, but she’s still as lovable as can be! • Playful & Social: Biscotti loves to play, and she’s a little mouthy menace when it comes to having fun with her doggy siblings! She’s also the sweetest at grooming her pack at night, making sure everyone is tucked in. She’s not overly social with other dogs outside her home, but she adores her foster pack and gets along wonderfully with them. • Endearing Quirks: Biscotti occasionally sneezes in the cutest way that will remind you of Donald Duck—trust us, it’s the best thing ever! She’s also curious and always checking every nook and cranny of her environment, making sure nothing goes unnoticed. Her love for adventure keeps her on the go, and she’s full of energy, but not in an overly hyper way. She just has more endurance than some of the other dogs in the house. • Training & Potty Habits: Biscotti is mostly house-trained, with just an occasional accident. Her foster mom is working hard to pick up on her cues, and she’s great about going potty outside with the rest of the pack. She’s very trustworthy when it comes to doing her business! • Car Rides: Biscotti is still getting used to car rides but isn’t anxious or uncomfortable in the car. She rides like a good little girl in the passenger seat, observing the world around her. • Health: Biscotti is generally healthy, though her facial paralysis and occasional clumsiness mean she sometimes needs a little extra help navigating. She’s still full of life and love, and her endearing personality more than makes up for any quirks. Why Biscotti Needs You: Biscotti is a one-of-a-kind girl who will thrive in a home where she can continue to build trust, receive lots of cuddles, and get plenty of playtime. She’s looking for a family who will be patient with her special needs while cherishing her for the sweet, funny, and lovable dog she is. Biscotti’s adoption will require a family that understands her quirks, but in return, she will offer endless affection, joyful antics, and cuddles that’ll melt your heart. If you’re looking for a sweet, curious, and affectionate French Bulldog who just needs a little time and love to blossom, Biscotti might be the perfect match for you! Adopt Biscotti Today! She’s ready to snuggle her way into your heart and make every day a little brighter with her adorable quirks and loving personality. Plus, she looks like a combination of Dobby and Grumpy Cat—how could you resist that face?! She is spay, vaccinated, and microchipped, her adoption donation fee is $1000.00 and you can apply for her on freedomfrenchierescue.org. Located in Gilbert, AZ

Story
Meet Astra: A Story of Resilience and Love. Astra is a six year-old French Bulldog mix with a heart full of joy and a spirit that has triumphed over unimaginable challenges. Rescued from a Southern California shelter, Astra’s journey began in hardship. She was covered in mange, with almost no hair, and her ears were in terrible condition, showing the effects of years of neglect and abuse. Her cropped ears had large masses that required significant surgery to improve her quality of life. After undergoing TECA surgery, which successfully removed the masses, Astra now has small nubs for ears and poor to no hearing. Despite everything she has been through, Astra is a testament to resilience, living a happy and vibrant life. Her mange has been treated, and her coat is slowly growing back, revealing a unique and beautiful dog who shines brighter than ever. Astra is a joy to be around—she’s excellent on a leash, rides well in the car, is crate trained and loves going for walks. She is the perfect companion for a relaxing day watching football or trying out new snacks, which she absolutely loves. Astra is also an incredible fetch player, delighting everyone with her unique trick of throwing the ball herself. She has a calm, affectionate personality and is gentle with everyone she meets, both people and other dogs. While she may not hear you calling her name, Astra communicates her love in other ways—her body wiggling with excitement and her face lighting up whenever she sees her favorite people. Astra would thrive in a calm home with someone who values companionship and affection. Her gentle soul and loving nature make her an extraordinary dog, though she is often overlooked because of her unique appearance. Astra is proof that beauty comes in many forms, and she is ready to show her forever family just how perfect she truly is. If you’re looking for a kind-hearted, joyful companion who will bring warmth and love to your life, Astra is waiting to meet you. Don’t miss the chance to welcome this special girl into your home and heart. Astra is currently being fostered in Scottsdale. She’s vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and ready to start the next chapter of her life. Her adoption donation fee is $800. Please apply on our website to give Astra the loving home she’s been dreaming of!

Story
Meet Frankie: The Meatball with a Mission! Frankie is a 4-year-old Frenchie who was chilling (not by choice) at a South LA shelter, waiting for her people to come get her. Spoiler alert: they never did. But don’t worry—this happy, not-so-little meatball is living her best life now, and she’s ready to share it with YOU! Frankie is the queen of enthusiasm. Whether you’re gone for 5 minutes or 5 hours, she’ll greet you like a long-lost friend every time. She’s all about good vibes and gets along with every dog she meets—big, small, weird, you name it. But while she loves her canine buddies, people and FOOD are her true obsessions. Seriously, food might be her soulmate. She had her first pup cup recently and, after some initial confusion, dove in like a pro. Smart as a whip, Frankie’s already got her foster home routine down pat. Nighttime crating? Meh, not her favorite, but she’s getting there. Plus, she’s totally housebroken—no accidents, ever! But what she really loves is her playpen, or as we like to call it, her “VIP Lounge.” She’ll stand at the gate, giving you that “open sesame” look, just so she can flop down on her donut bed like the diva she is. Frankie can definitely get bursts of playful energy, but let’s be real: if being a couch potato were a sport, she’d be a world champion. There’s probably already a Frankie-shaped dent in her favorite cushion. Her hobbies include sunbathing, belly rubs, and gnawing on antlers/Benebones like they owe her money. This little cannoli loves a good hangout with other dogs, so she’d do well with a furry companion to chill with while you’re away. However, she’s not a fan of cats (or small animals in general—her prey drive’s more “gremlin at midnight” than “gentle giant”). So no feline friends, please! Medically, she’s golden! She had surgery for a hematoma in her ear (don’t worry, it’s all healed up), and regular ear cleanings are her ticket to success. She’s got a cute little wave of muscle on her back, but the vet’s not concerned—it just adds character! Ready to bring this enthusiastic, food-loving, couch-potato champion home? Frankie’s waiting! She is located in Gilbert AZ and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spay. Adoption donation fee $1000.00, please apply for Frankie on our website.

Story
Buddy our Little Elder Introvert: Toy obsessed Yes! Meet Buddy, the French Bulldog with the personality of a 1920s flapper dancer! This 7-year-old charmer came to us as an owner surrender due to family changes and concerns over his behavior around young children. While Buddy showed some aggression in his previous home with their toddler, he has been a model citizen in his foster home, showing no signs of aggression and living peacefully with the other dogs—though he prefers to do his own thing rather than join in on their antics. Buddy is a sweet, introverted soul who thrives in a calm and quiet environment. He has a gentle sway in his hips when he walks, which only adds to his unique personality. Whether he’s “talking” in his hilarious Frenchie bark, exploring the house, playing with his toys, or enjoying a long nap, Buddy knows how to keep himself entertained. Ideal Home: Buddy is looking for a home with no children under 10 years old, that are well versed in leaving a dog be (he is not looking for a best friend), as he finds chaotic environments overwhelming. He would do wonderfully in a household with: • A small, quiet family with older children • A single person who wants a loyal companion • A peaceful couple who can provide a calm and structured environment Buddy loves his crate (it’s his safety zone) and prefers it to be accessible so he can come and go as he pleases. His favorite spot is a cozy dog bed by the couch, where he can keep an eye on you while relaxing. Health & Special Care Needs: Buddy is healthy overall, but as a senior French Bulldog, he has a few age-related conditions: • Spinal Issues (IVDD): Managed with medication, crate rest, and non-surgical therapies such as acupuncture or chiropractic treatments. • Allergies: He is on a salmon-based diet and supplements (hip and joint supplements, probiotics) to keep him feeling his best. • Eyes: One of Buddy’s eyes is slightly cloudy due to a repaired ulcer, but it doesn’t affect his quality of life. • Mobility: He walks on all fours and is not incontinent. Continued care, like therapy and a safe home layout, will help him thrive. Personality: Buddy is a true introvert who loves peace and quiet. He’s not one for rough housing but adores cheek and ear scratches. His quirky bark—part talk, part Frenchie charm—is sure to make you laugh. He may not be the life of the party, but he’s the perfect companion for someone who values quiet moments and a loving presence. He loves to go for short walks, but we always advise to not let strangers pet. Buddy has plenty of life and love left to share. With his foster family’s care, he’s been thriving, and we’re confident he can continue living a happy, comfortable life with the right adopter. This guy needs a home to live out the rest of his golden years quietly with a couch potato. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key companion to share your days with, Buddy might just be your perfect match! He is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. Adoption donation fee $950.00, please apply for Buddy on our website, freedomfrenchierescue.org, located in Mesa, AZ (pending foster).

Story
Meet Westin The Spicy Football, Looking for His Forever Home! Westin is a 7.5 to 8 year-old, 18-pound French Bulldog with a big personality and an even bigger heart once you earn his trust. His journey has been nothing short of heartbreaking. After his owner passed away, Westin was surrendered to Long Beach Animal Shelter, where he struggled to adjust. Can you imagine how terrified he was? From a familiar home to a loud, unfamiliar shelter, surrounded by strangers it was overwhelming for him. Westin’s Journey Westin was extremely guarded and fearful at the shelter, allowing only one employee near him. When we picked him up, he refused to be handled, so he was carefully crated for transport. Once we arrived at our hotel, we gave him space with no pressure, and zero expectations, just time to decompress. Slowly, we watched his walls come down. He was great with the other dog we had with us. He chose to engage on his own terms. He took treats and even climbed onto Mo’s lap, but not without some growling! Westin has continued to make progress, though he remains independent and strong-willed. He mostly keeps to himself, preferring to observe rather than actively engage with other dogs. He is warming up though!! His favorite spot? Right next to Mo, watching the playful chaos unfold. Whether she is at her desk, her living room floor with others, or washing dishes, Westin is under her feet along three other foster siblings. His age does not fit his energy or personality. Westin’s Perfect Home Westin is not your typical cuddly Frenchie he’s an old soul who values his space. As like us adults the order we get the more we just love having our own space in this busy day to day world. He needs a patient, understanding adopter who will respect his boundaries and allow him to adjust at his own pace. Westin loves: Sunbathing. Occasionally playing with toys. Treats are his love language! Baths & wrinkle cleaning (if done gently). What to Expect: He will growl and possibly nip at first, this is his way of setting boundaries. He requires the 3-3-3 rule (3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to adjust, 3 months to feel at home). Westin is not a fan of being picked up, only Mo and sometimes her son can do it. Now she carries him around like the little football he is! So do not have an expectation to pick him up for a few days. Also do not expect to have the meet and greet goes as you plan. You can’t judge this guy and how he will be in the future the first time you meet him. You must be able to jump in with both feet for Westin and trust the process. If you want more information on that, please watch his video on social media as it has taken two weeks to get where he is today with Mo and her family. If you are impatient and live in the me now world, he is not for you. No children under 13 years of age unless you are experienced with rescue frenchie’s. Medical: Westin has a sway in his walk and some back leg tremors, but he manages well with daily Gabapentin, joint supplements, and probiotics. His ears require regular cleaning, but as long as you go slow, he tolerates it well. Is your home the one for Westin! Westin needs an experienced, patient adopter willing to give him the time and space he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will be your best friend once he learns to trust you, he might just be your perfect match. He is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, Westins adoption donation fee is $975.00. Apply to adopt Westin at freedomfrenchierescue.org! He will get a final vet check during his adoption process.
