Hi, I'm Cabernet! I'm currently living with my foster mom and dad, my 3 doggie sisters and my doggie foster sister! Oh, and my guinea pig sister, Miss Lucy! I'm a very mellow, very sweet pup! I love the freedom of my fenced in back yard, but would do fine without a fence. I like to be outside with my humans and doggie friends, hanging out, sniffing, and some running with my buddies! I'm house trained, and I don't use a kennel as I pretty much just sleep sprawled on a cool floor when my people are out and about. I have a gentle and kind soul, and I know I would make my forever family forever happy!!!***FOSTER TO ADOPT***Cabernet is Heartworm positive and is currently going through treatment. Once her treatment is complete, the adoption can be finalized. Once her adoption is finalized, it is the responsibility of the adoptive family to get a Heartworm test every 2 months to follow up on her treatment progress until she has a negative result which can take 2-9 months. During these months, you will need to make sure her heart rate is not elevated due to high energy play or exercise. Cabernet will also need continued use of monthly Heartworm prevention going forward. These medical needs will be the responsibility of the adopter.
