Story
Blaze is a handsome 2-year-old border collie mix with heterochromia eyes, one blue and one brown. True to his breed, he is ultra smart, curious and attentive. Border collies are a working breed, so Blaze will need a family who is active, engaged and will put him to "work" to keep his mind and body occupied. Blaze tested positive for Heartworm, and was treated before coming to Town and Country Animal Rescue. Once he is released by the vet to return to full activity, he would love to learn agility, go on daily walks and join the family for outdoor adventures such as camping and hiking. Blaze has a very sweet personality, craves human contact and is known to be quite the cuddler. Blaze is dog friendly and will be joining our doggie playgroups once he's fully recovered. Blaze has a new lease on life and so much to offer his forever family. Apply to come out and see Blaze in action!
The adoption fee is 350 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.
Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission. If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee. It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member.
***** If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com. Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal. If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed, and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home. The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster. If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit.
