Story
Oh my goodness! This guy has turned out to be such a cutie. Arlo is a total character who will keep you laughing. Arlo was tied up behind an H&#226&#128&#145E&#226&#128&#145B for over 12 hours. Nobody knows how or why but thank goodness a Good Samaritan saw him and took him home. Arlo is an Australian shepherd mix about 3-4 years old. He weighs right around 40 pounds. He has the absolute cutest prance, a HUGE SMILE, and absolutely loves his “puppy massage” Arlo is up to date on vaccines and is neutered. Sadly he is heartworm positive but Scout’s Honor Rescue will cover the cost of his slow kill treatment. If interested in adopting or fostering Arlo please fill out the appropriate application and we will be in touch right away. January 27, 2025, 7:33 pm

Story
If you would like more information about Izzie or are interested in adopting her, please send an email to ncrichton99@att.net or contact this number, 832 647-4326 I came back to work from lunch to find a goofy, wiggle-worm puppy (1 yr. old) in the middle of a busy street in the Galleria area. After much barking and lots of treats, she succumbed to being rescued. She has been thoroughly checked out and is in good health, weighs about 38 pounds. We have given her all the necessary shots. She is very strong, energetic and sweet—I named her Izzie. She loves to be with people and does very well with kids, although she would be a bit too much for babies and crawlers. She kind of tolerates the cat on my front porch who hisses at her every morning. Izzie looks just like and has the temperament of an Australian Koolie herding dog. She is easily trained and a good watchdog. She loves to play keep away and does zoomies around my backyard. Because she is such a high energy dog, she would do well in agility, fly ball, Frisbee, dock diving or as a dancing dog. She has been coming to work with me to play non-stop with the thundering herd of Goldendoodles, a Bernadoodle, and a Pittie mix. Unfortunately, I am not able to keep Izzie because my dog, a Black Mouth Cur, has issues with other dogs. There are some free-roaming chickens on my street—Izzie just looks at them as we walk on by. Izzie did not come with any training to speak of but now she is house trained and walks by my side with a gentle leader (she doesn’t like the leader but walks like a pro with it). She sits and waits for me to release her when I put her food down. The commands she knows, some better than others, are: go back, wait, sit. She acts like a goofball when I try to dry her wet paws thus the “Dizzy” Izzie. She is kennel trained and sleeps through the night in the kennel. During Hurricane Beryl she was fine with the loud thunder, lightning and hurling wind. Even when a huge limb fell and put a hole in my roof, we all winced but were good. Izzie rarely wears out so she would be happiest with someone who will keep her busy and entertained. Izzie is a delightful, very happy pup who so deserves a great home! Story
Meet Declyn, an adult canine with the spirit of a young pup. This sweet boy was found as a stray who seemed to have lost hope in finding happiness. After just a few days of being shown love and care, Declyn came out of his shell and revealed just how affectionate and grateful he was to be saved. With a super friendly demeanor, this boy loves meeting new people and is always making friends. Declyn to his core is a loyal cuddle bug who will gladly spend the day by your side. But don’t worry, he’s also a playful guy, and his goofy antics will have you laughing for days. Despite his ruff start to life, Declyn’s vibrant energy and enthusiasm for life remain undiminished. Now all he needs is a loving family to call his own. Consider adopting Declyn and discover why it’s so easy to fall in love with him
