Greycat Adoptions Animal rescue in Kansas City, MO

Missouri Non-Profit Organization - 501(c)3 pending.

Greycat adoptions is dedicated to the rehoming of lost and abandoned animals. We believe the way to stop the slaughter of domestic animals in municipal shelters is through spaying and neutering. Therefore no animal will leave our care until it is altered. Each animal in our care will also be vaccinated and treated for parasites, internal and external. Cats over 4 months will be tested for FELV/FIV and dogs over 6 months will be tested for Heart worm. We have 20 years of experience in rescue and also feral trapping (TNR).

Additional adoption info

If you see an animal you would like to meet please call or e mail for an appointment. There is an adoption process, application, interview, contract and in some cases we may want to do a home visit. Our fees for cats start at $75.00 and for Dogs $150.00. in some special cases we may lower the fee so it doesn't hurt to ask if the fee is "set" on the animal you like. Our cats are adopted to Inside only homes. Our dogs are also adopted as house mates, we do not adopt dogs as outside only pets. The adoption process takes some time so schedule your appointment when you have at least an hour or hour and a half. We don't take shortcuts and are determined to find great homes for our animals. Kittens and puppies will not be placed until they are old enough and healthy enough to be safely altered. Usually 10-12 weeks. WE DO NOT SHIP OUR ANIMALS.
