Dog rescue in Ronkonkoma, NY

Human and Animal suffering plagues our society. There are literally millions of homebound or disabled American heroes or citizens. We define American heros as hard working American's who have worked tirelessly during their lives, and for circumstances beyond their control, find themselves homebound and perhaps alone in the world. American heros can be your neighbor, a waitress at your local diner who smiled with every cup of coffee served, a sales clerk who carried the senior citizen's purchase to the car, a relative that has worked two or three jobs his or her entire life to provide for the family, a single mom that unassisted, raised children that have become honorable members of our society, people who have performed acts of kindness through out their lives. They are the unsung heros who are sometimes too proud or humble to ask for assistance. There are many organizations that advocate for fallen Police Officers, Firefighters and Military service members. As they are certainly eligible and welcomed reciepients of our charitable services, we must also look out for average hardworking hero citizens.

Likewise, there are millions of abandoned animals euthanized each year, and thousand others languishing in over-crowded shelters throughout the country. Many of these dogs have behavioral issues that make them seemingly unadoptable. Many shelters and rescue groups lack the resources and expertise to properly assess and rehabilitate these castaways. The founders of Hounds Town Charities have seen first-hand this suffering, and have developed comprehensive programs and services to address and attend to those unfortunate humans and animals who have slipped through the cracks. If you have a family member or know someone who is suffering and may be too proud or humble to ask for help, we welcome you to apply for them! Please review the many services we provide and fill out an application on behalf of an American Hero!!!
