Meet Monk, a 4-year-old mixed breed who loves having his head rubbed more than Elmer Fudd. Monk's story begins bouncing between homes as a youngster and almost ending with being abandoned in the middle of the road. Despite enduring a series of hardships like this, losing 19 teeth and a toe, Monk's attitude remains hopeful. He loves to chase ball and is ideal for experienced dog owners who appreciate beauty beyond appearances. Will you give Monk a chance?

More about this shelter

CCA was founded in 1980 by a small group of individuals dedicated to helping animals. Since then, our group has grown to include a small shelter. Our group's mission is varied: to maintain a shelter for abandoned, sick or injured animals; to adopt out dogs and cats to loving permanent homes; to provide for their animals low-cost spay/neuter assistance to families who lack the means to pay; and to strive to prevent and to stop abuse and/or neglect of an animal.
