My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Violet, a former CCA dog who lost her home to a devastating fire. This sweet girl loves playtime and naps in equal measure, with a physique reminiscent of a Lab but graced with the elegant slimness of a Great Dane. Her eyes and nose carry the signature Dane charm, adding to her undeniable allure. Despite her strength, Violet exudes a gentle nature and an endearing innocence about her own size. While she dreams of finding a new home with her best friend Indy, she would be grateful for simply a family at all. Will you be the one to open your heart and home to this deserving soul?

More about this shelter

CCA was founded in 1980 by a small group of individuals dedicated to helping animals. Since then, our group has grown to include a small shelter. Our group's mission is varied: to maintain a shelter for abandoned, sick or injured animals; to adopt out dogs and cats to loving permanent homes; to provide for their animals low-cost spay/neuter assistance to families who lack the means to pay; and to strive to prevent and to stop abuse and/or neglect of an animal.

We are always in need of volunteers! If you are interested in becoming a part of our group, please let us know by calling 864.243.4222. We'd be glad to have you on board!
