My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

There’s no dragon in this house. Our Meleys is a cat!

In `House of the Dragon,` the swift dragon Meleys was called the Red Queen after her striking scarlet scales. Our Meleys, on the other hand, is a sweet grey and white dilute tortie, who is enjoying life in a loving foster home while waiting to meet a new family. Her beloved owner recently passed away, and now feeling lost and lonely, Meleys is trying to figure out what her next chapter might be. You are in the right place, Meleys, you will find love and affection once again!

ABOUT MELEYS:

-In foster
-Adult, domestic shorthair, female
-Fun fact: dilute torties are considered lucky!
-Meleys is a chatty gal who uses various chirps to let her wishes be known (wanting food/to play/to be petted/to be left alone).
-She is very affectionate, loving one-on-one attention and greeting her foster dad when he returns home.
-Meleys likes to play with a ball made of aluminum foil over plastic wrap, running to fetch it and returning to drop it at the feet of her foster dad to tell him she wants to continue playing.
-She enjoys gazing out the window during quiet moments, taking in everything there is to see. A cat tree by a window would be a welcome addition in her forever home.
-Meleys is becoming more comfortable with being picked up and carried.
-She enjoys sleeping on her foster dad’s bed at night, and loves the warmth of the radiator during the day.
-Meleys eats a vet prescribed dry food diet.
-She loves catnip—eating it and rolling around in it, while becoming thoroughly excited.
-Meleys is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.

MELEYS`S IDEAL HOME:

-Having lived in a loving home where she enjoyed all the limelight, it is likely that a quiet environment, where she is the only animal, would be the best fit.
-Since her life has changed dramatically, Meleys might need some extra time to trust and learn to love again.

All Meleys wants is to, once again, become a cherished family member, just the way things used to be. She deserves a happily ever after—could you be the one to grant her this wish? Why not schedule a virtual interview today to meet this special girl?
