My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How Lulu arrived:
Lulu was brought in by her previous owner on 8/24/25.

Why Lulu is the one for you:
Meet Lulu, a smart and social pup who's making great strides in her foster home! She's figured out the doggie door, is playing wonderfully with her foster siblings, and even welcomes new friends with tail wags and requests for pets.

Lulu is an enthusiastic chewer but keeps it to her toy box favorites-Benebones are her go-to! She's also learning to relax with a blanket in her crate without turning it into a snack. While she's still working on mastering her 'down' command, she's eager to please and making progress every day.

If you're looking for a friendly, playful, and trainable companion, Lulu might be the perfect match for your family!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
