Our hearts hurt for Tank. His owner could no longer take care of him and his best friend Lydia. They arrived to the shelter on 9/1. Lydia was adopted and then Tank found a home. Tank went on an adventure and arrived back at the shelter on Jan. 6 as a lost doggie; his family has not come for him. Tank is 11 years young and weighs in at 50 pounds. He is a sweetheart but is confused about his new surroundings. His first family reported that he is good with children. He knows to sit when asked. Does your heart hurt for Tank? Cobb County Animal Services was established in 1971. As part of Cobb's Department of Public Safety, we serve the entire county, protecting the residents and animals of Cobb.
The mission of the Cobb County Animal Services Unit is to enforce state laws and county ordinances pertaining to animal control and management; educate the community on responsible pet ownership and wildlife care and provide housing and care for homeless animals, while coordinating their adoptions when possible and humane euthanization when adoptions are not possible.
