A23381 Koda is a 1-year-old, 89-pound, neutered male, Dogo Argentino. He was neutered by our medical team.
He was an owner surrender due to a change in their lifestyle. They report Koda has lived with other dogs and children. He is housebroken and used to using a doggy door. He loves water and playing with toys. Koda is deaf and is somewhat trained with hand signals.
Koda is a really sweet big boy. He is indeed deaf and looks to you for guidance. He does pull on the leash when being walked. He seems friendly with the other shelter dogs. He loves to be people and doesn’t have any personal space issues. Koda would do good in home with large dog experience, and we would love to see him go to a home with experience or understanding in keeping a deaf dog.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
