Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Ash and Angie (also available for adoption) were abandoned on a property that reportedly was set on fire. Authorities went to the property and discovered the two dogs. Unfortunately, a third dog had perished in the fire.
Ash and Angie were taken to San Bernardino City Shelter, and they became Frosted Faces together on November 12th. Ash is about 10 years old and weighs 35 lbs.
Ash has paralysis of his hind end likely caused by decreased intervertebral space and noticeable bone changes at the area where the thoracic and lumbar spine meet, causing a forward curvature. The good news is that Ash took to his wheelchair immediately and is already a pro!
Ash does great on our weekly FFF hikes! He loves being by his bestie's side, and he has learned that the extra effort going uphill means big fun going down! This sweet boy is one tough cookie, and every volunteer that walks with him finds his determination and can-do spirit so inspiring.
Ash and Angie live in our lobby (with a special group of Frosted Faces affectionately known as lobbyists) where they enjoy lots of attention and are most often found cuddling together on a big comfy dog bed. They love each other SO much, are great with other dogs, and love people, too!
Ash and Angie are currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we can learn what they are like in a home and use that information to place them with a wonderful forever family - just like they deserve!
Their Fling Mom reports they settled right in - after a
short walk around the block, Ash and Angie curled up together to take a nap.
She notes: "While they’re a bonded pair, each has their own unique personality. Angie is our little curious explorer, always sniffing around and getting into everything (we dare say she’s a bit nosey!) Ash, on the other hand, is the laid-back bro who just loves to go with the flow.
There’s nothing better than snuggling with these two cuties in front of a movie! Angie & Ash are the perfect couch companions, bringing all the warmth and love to a cozy night at home."
Check back for the next update from their Fling!
