My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Snoopy Doo!

Snoopy Doo entered Pasadena Humane Society as a stray and wasn't claimed. We scooped him up on November 30th to become a Frosted Face.

Snoopy Doo is super sweet and friendly, enjoys the company of other dogs, does well with cats, and acts younger than his years. He is such a catch!

Snoopy Doo went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn what he is like in a home environment. He earned rave reviews for being an all-around good boy! Here is the full report about Snoopy's Fling Mom:

"Snoopy loves everyone! He likes to be in the same room as his humans but not necessarily on their laps. He loves butt scritches, back rubs, and belly rubs. Snoopy will gently paw at you if he wants your attention or pets. It's the cutest thing, and he's the sweetest!

We took Snoopy to my husband's office holiday party, and everyone loved him! They commented on how sweet and well-mannered he was. They couldn't get enough of him and gave him so much love which Snoopy welcomed.

Snoopy is okay with being picked up to get into the car and on the couch. He had beds in multiple rooms, and while he wanted to be with us on the couch, he was content to sleep in his own bed (in the same room) at bedtime.

Snoopy listens well when you instruct him to go to his crate but the door to the crate needs to remain open. He likes to nest in his blankets and pillows.

At first, Snoopy was very interested in our cat but before the end of the first week, he had stopped chasing her and they relaxed on the couch together. I think he eventually realized she was part of our family.

Snoopy gets very excited during our walks so a harness and a firm grasp of his leash is ideal. He doesn't bark but really likes to say hi (sniff) every dog and human he passes by, so there's some leash pulling but he's really respectful once he gets close enough to sniff. Once he gets his sniffs in, he's good to continue on his walk!

We introduced Snoopy to our dog playgroup at the park near us, and he did great! He played and ran around with one of the younger huskies. We also took him to two off-leash parks where he happily ran with the other dogs (Snoopy acts much younger than his years!) He's definitely comfortable around dogs that are larger than him.

Ideally, Snoopy's forever family will be an active one and a home where someone will be with him most of the time or is able to take him with them to work or run errands as Snoopy is still working on his anxiety. He was okay being home alone with our pets, but after an hour, he would start barking, but he was not destructive otherwise.

Snoopy is tolerant of baths and loves the blow dryer afterwards. Snoopy likes to stick his nose out of the window to sniff during car rides, so a doggie booster seat would be nice for him.

Snoopy only had one accident in our apartment and that was on our first night. If Snoopy needed to go outside of our potty schedule, he would let us know by pacing at the door."

Snoopy is currently on a second Fling while he waits for his forever home. Might it be with you?
