My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How Juan arrived:
Juan was brought in by their previous owner

At SDHS:
Juan has been vaccinated, microchipped and is neutered. He is now ready for his new home!

Why Juan might be the one for you:
Meet Juan, the sleek and sophisticated house panther with a heart full of love! This senior gentleman is seeking a cozy couch (and a cozy human!) to share his golden years with.

Beneath Juan's stoic exterior lies a softie who adores gentle affection. Once he's settled in, he'll reveal his delightful personality-complete with kitty kisses, playful moments, and the sweetest cuddles before bedtime. With his silky coat and charming demeanor, Juan is impossible to resist.

Juan has a refined taste in relaxation and enjoys unwinding to the sound of your favorite podcasts. Whether it's true crime or soothing storytelling, he's happy to listen by your side, soaking up the cozy vibes.

In the past, Juan had some litter box concerns, likely due to sharing his space with other pets. However, as the solo star in his foster home, he's had perfect manners-proving that he thrives as the only pet. His foster family says he loves pets so much, their arms give out before his need for love does!

If you're looking for a mellow, affectionate companion with a silky coat and an appreciation for quiet moments, Juan is your guy. Stop by to meet this handsome fellow and make him your podcast partner for life!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
