Meet Floyd! The shelter environment can make some cats a bit bashful when meeting new people, but with patience and understanding their personality will come out! Every day we are beginning to see more of their sparking personality. New Cat owners should be prepared to cat proof their home! Quality time and yummy treats will be the key to this kitty's heart! This sweet and loving cat has some special medical needs, including managing his diabetes mellitus, and he's looking for an owner who is ready to provide the care and attention he deserves. With the right care, he'll be a happy and cherished companion!

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County.
