Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Nevermore is a shy, sweet baby with a heart of gold! Found at the zoo, our little raven deserves only the best in life going forward. While Nevermore may be shy when he enters your home, don't be fooled, this baby will absolutely love his human once he learns he can trust you. Food motivated, Nevermore enjoys his breakfast and dinner like the best of us and can be wooed through his meals. With time, patience, and affection,
Nevermore will soon enjoy getting chin scratchies and head pets all day long. You'll find he is quick to make biscuits and even quicker to sing the song of his people with his kitty friends when he is in the mood to play. When he's feeling a snooze, you'll find Nevermore enjoys naps in little safe spaces, like the inside of a couch, a cube organizer, or the ever present Amazon box. Ultimately, this boy will be a good fit for someone looking for a sweet baby who loves his chosen humans, enjoys a snooze cruise on the couch most of the time, but can still kick it with his kitty friends when he's in a partying mood.

More about this shelter
The Maryland SPCA connects wonderful pets to loving owners. We are not affiliated with any national animal organization, and we do not receive any government or United Way funding. Our mission is to prevent cruelty and neglect of animals through fostering the humane relationship between animals and people. We operate primarily in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan area.
To make sure that our dogs and cats do not contribute to the pet overpopulation problem, every one is spayed or neutered before going into a new home. The cost is included in the adoption fee, as are the costs of shots and other necessary care. In addition, a free Positive Pooch class is available to our dog adopters.
There is no set time limit for how long an animal can remain in our adoption program. As long as an animal maintains general good health and a sound temperament, we keep him or her until adopted. We pride ourselves on providing premium care to the animals in a clean, pleasant environment. Our adoption staff works diligently to pair up adopters with the best animal match for their homes and lifestyles.
We transport animals from other shelters to our adoption center to help more animals get adopted. We also help pet owners find new homes for their pets so their animals don’t need to enter shelter care.
