My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEDICAL EMERGENCY PLACEMENT DEADLINE
3PM 01/26/25
Name: Gingerbread
Animal ID: A858663
Age: 4 years
Weight: 61 lbs
About: Gingerbread came to PACC as a stray. He can be nervous around other dogs; he is sweet with volunteers and can be shy. He has been tested twice for distemper virus which came back indeterminate (possibly vaccine interference). He is unfortunately being housed in a small room to isolate but it is not ideal for long-term in the overcrowded shelter. He needs a home where he can be monitored and retested at another date. Distemper Virus is not contagious to adult, vaccinated dogs, and no harm to people/other pets. Gingerbread currently has no symptoms.
NOTE: This virus is coming from the community and putting our shelter at risk, please vaccinate your pets.

Available for long term foster care 30+ days or adoption through PACC.
Interested parties:
• Must visit PACC before the 3:00 PM January 26, 2025, deadline to meet with an adoption or foster counselor who will go over notes and then introduce you to ensure that it’s a good fit.
Email PACC.medicalfoster@pima.gov with questions!
