My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This pretty kitty is Gertude. Like her mom Cordelia, she’s a little cautious about new people and situations, but she’s fine once you pick her up or she has a chance to relax. Under her nerves, there is a playful affectionate kitten wanting to get out. Gertie doesn’t like strange cats much, but she loves her mom and siblings. Gertrude was born April of 2024. She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. As always, cat/kitten adoptions are free will donation to approved applicants. ****The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org****

Go meet their pets

Check out all of our pets online at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org or send in an application to meet a specific pet! Once our shelter is open for operation stop in during our open hours to visit with a fuzzy friend in person.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
