My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ABOUT DAMIEN
This is Damien, a crazy, silly, and fun boy! He was surrendered to HAP when his owner was no longer able to care for him. Damien has previously lived with kids, cats, and other dogs. Damien loves to play fetch and can do so for as long as you let him, so he is looking for his new family that will match his active lifestyle! He knows basic commands and is very eager to learn new things. Damien has loved participating in our Doggy Day Out program, making many new friends in his adventures! Here’s what our volunteers have to say about their day with him:

“We started our day by walking in Carousel park. Damien was very interested horses, ducks, and other dogs. While we kept a good distance, he was very content just sitting and watching. We headed to Marshall’s where he got a ton of attention from staff and shoppers. He picked out his toy and treats, before we headed home where we snuggled on couch and he took a nap. He is the cutest, when I sat on the couch, he made himself right at home and laid on top of me. This boy LOVES to cuddle! I hope Damien finds a home soon!” - Gabriella

“Today we took out Damien again! He is the sweetest and most friendly dog. We went to the UD campus and walked around the Pomeroy Rail Trail, introduced him to some of our friends, and hung out on Main Street. Even with the bad weather, we had an amazing day with Damien and we love spending time with him!” - Alyssa

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
