We first spotted Lola Bunny down at Chicago Animal Care and Control in early December. She was so happy and wiggly, and loved other dogs so we leapt at the chance to take her into our program.
Lola has been lucky enough to spend time in two amazing foster homes, so we know her quite well!
Lola spent a few weeks in a foster home without a dog friend, but with two humans and the occasional visit from grand babies. Sometimes Lola's exuberance was a bit much for the babies, but it was always out of love. Her current fosters have been working on calm greetings with her and she has been super responsive to that training.
Lola is crate trained and has not had any issues being left in one during the day. She sleeps on a dog bed beside her fosters at night, and sleeps through the night. During the day, she likes to play but is also happy to nap next to her foster mom's desk for hours.
Lola Bunny is currently living in a foster home with a couple and their Golden Retriever, who Lola loves. They say, "Lola likes a morning routine and will do all her business outside as soon as she eats. During the day she goes outside every few hours and has made serious progress with housebreaking! She is doing great as we space out potty breaks more and more."
Lola loves everyone and just needs someone willing to work with Lola on establishing a routine and some simple fine-tuning! She is eager to please and food motivated which makes it easier. She loves playing fetch and having a zoomie session in the yard, but is very relaxed in the house after playtime."
Lola Bunny’s adoption fee is $250. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
