My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Stanley, the big boy with an even bigger heart! This lovable giant has a zest for life that matches his impressive size. With plenty of energy to burn, Stanley is always ready to run around, play, and have a blast with anyone who’s up for some fun. Whether it's a game of fetch or simply enjoying some outdoor time, Stanley is the life of the party and loves to be the center of attention.

Now, when it comes to food, Stanley’s appetite is as big as he is—this guy LOVES to eat! If you’ve got a treat in hand, you’ll have his full attention in no time. His love for snacks is rivaled only by his love for people. He enjoys interacting with everyone, always eager to make new friends and show off his playful personality.

Stanley is looking for a family who can keep up with his energy levels and share his enthusiasm for tasty treats. If you're ready for a fun, loving, and slightly food-obsessed companion who will keep you on your toes, Stanley might just be the perfect match for you! He's ready to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love to his forever home.

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is proud to be a no-kill animal welfare agency. We are committed to finding great homes for great pets! As a 501(c)(3) nonproft, we receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from individuals, companies and grants to fund our programs and services. We are not affiliated with any other animal agency on a local, state or national level. Since 1902, our organization has been devoted to being a voice for the voiceless. Although we proudly find more than 2,000 animals forever homes every year, we are far more than an adoption center. We currently have a wide array of programs to support animals in our community. Through our high-volume spay and neuter clinic, we are able to help pet owners as well as battle cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return. Our humane society agents also work tirelessly to protect pets from cruel and neglectful circumstances through our Cruelty & Neglect Investigations Department. Through our Veterinary Hospital, we can provide top-quality access to veterinary care at a low cost to pet owners. In addition to our many programs, our organization is unique because we are the only agency in the community able to handle all types of animals. This includes cats and dogs but also rabbits, birds, farm animals, pocket pets and exotics. Our organization is committed to providing our community, our state and our region with support and care.
