My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Angelo and I am looking for my forever home. Unfortunately our previous owner lost his home and had to move where he could only have one dog. I am about 6 months old and weigh between 12lbs. BCAA was told that my parents both weighed around 15lbs so I shouldn't get too much bigger. I was pretty scared and confused when I first got to my foster home, but my foster parents are really great and are working with me by giving me lots of love and attention and I am starting to come out of my shell. I have a really pretty mostly chocolate coat with some neat light markings, and striking green eyes! I have never been on leash before, so a fenced yard will be needed to keep me safe while I learn. I get along with other dogs perfectly and don't pay too much attention to the cats. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at bcaaofnj.org.

Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.

More about this rescue

We are the Burlington County Animal Alliance (BCAA)located in Central New Jersey. We are a non-profit organization 501(3)(c), all volunteer rescue that saves animals from our local shelter and surrounding areas of New Jersey that are in danger of being euthanized. We take them into our program, get them the necessary medical care they need and adopt them back out to loving forever homes. We have 60 volunteers, many that open their homes to foster the homeless animals, we do fundraisers to raise money so we can continue to save the dogs and cats in need. We run strictly on donations from our adoptions and people who support our work.BCAA adopts to families in New Jersey, parts of Southeastern Pennsylvania and parts of New York.
