Hi! My name is Samantha and i am Looking for a new home. I was picked up running by Animal Control and taken to a really scary place called a shelter. After my hold time was up and no one came to claim me, i ended up on something bad called "the list"; then i found out that BCAA heard about me and said they would help me ... yeah! I appear to be what is known as a "chug"...part chihuahua and part pug (see my curly cue of a tail?) and at 13.5lbs at around 3yo, won't get any bigger; My foster mom says while i am a little shy when first meeting new people, but i respond well to TLC and love getting attention from her. I have done well in the crate and am not a barker. I am both pretty good on leash and enjoy going for walks and exploring. Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.

More about this rescue

We are the Burlington County Animal Alliance (BCAA)located in Central New Jersey. We are a non-profit organization 501(3)(c), all volunteer rescue that saves animals from our local shelter and surrounding areas of New Jersey that are in danger of being euthanized. We take them into our program, get them the necessary medical care they need and adopt them back out to loving forever homes. We have 60 volunteers, many that open their homes to foster the homeless animals, we do fundraisers to raise money so we can continue to save the dogs and cats in need. We run strictly on donations from our adoptions and people who support our work.BCAA adopts to families in New Jersey, parts of Southeastern Pennsylvania and parts of New York.
