My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Chloe and I am looking for a forever home. I showed up at a home and the nice lady took me in but could not keep me. BCAA was contacted to see if they could help me and they said yes ... yeah! I appear to be a really small yorkie at just a tad over 9lbs. The vet aged me at around 8 years old, but don't let that scare you as I have lots of life and energy left in me. I have gotten along with all of the other small/medium dogs I have met and haven't bothered the cats I've encountered (they're all bigger than me!). I have done really well in my crate without any accidents. I'm good on leash and enjoy going for walks. I am a sweet social girl. I love to be held and carried around. I prefer adults as kids are scary to me since I'm so small. I'll do best in a home with teens or adults only. Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.

More about this rescue

We are the Burlington County Animal Alliance (BCAA)located in Central New Jersey. We are a non-profit organization 501(3)(c), all volunteer rescue that saves animals from our local shelter and surrounding areas of New Jersey that are in danger of being euthanized. We take them into our program, get them the necessary medical care they need and adopt them back out to loving forever homes. We have 60 volunteers, many that open their homes to foster the homeless animals, we do fundraisers to raise money so we can continue to save the dogs and cats in need. We run strictly on donations from our adoptions and people who support our work.BCAA adopts to families in New Jersey, parts of Southeastern Pennsylvania and parts of New York.
