Meet the handsome Cognac! Such rich coloring on such a sweet puppy! This yummy Cognac is a Shihtzu Poodle mix, such a great pairing! The royal Shihtzu adores it's humans and is affectionate, funny and sometimes a bit stubborn, but oh so cute doing it! With the Poodle mix, Cognac has a beautiful coat and intelligence to go with it! Smart, cuddly and funny, who could ask for more.

Cognac is a complete love bug, great at finding a lap for snuggles and can hardly wait to play with any toys that come his way. He is an intrepid explorer and has wonderful puppy energy. Playtime with his people (including a young child) and foster sister is his favorite and Cognac is ready to bring much joy to his forever family!

Cognac will be adopted with a contract and deposit to ensure neuter by 6 months.

1.
Submit Application

Please submit an application to express your interest in a dog. We will do our best to respond quickly, please be patient

2.
Home Check

This will be a virtual review of your home and time to check references.

3.
Interview

You will have a phone interview to discuss your questions, information about the dog, and best dog for your exact situation.

4.
Approve Application

This will occur after the above steps and positive phone interview.

5.
Meet the Pet

A meet and greet will be scheduled. If everything is as expected, we plan on the dog going home with you from this meeting.

6.
Sign Adoption Contract

Must be completed at or prior to the meet and greet to result in an adoption.

7.
Pay Fee

Then take pet home and live happily ever after together!

More about this rescue

We are a committed group of dog lovers who have decades of experience in dog rescue, volunteering at animal shelters and owning rescue dogs. Most recently, our two founders, have been working with rescuing dogs from Mexico and the Asian dog meat trade as well as California kill shelters, Midwest puppy mill breeder releases and rehoming owner surrendered dogs in Washington and Oregon.

Deciding that we are able to rescue more by combining forces, Pacific Rim Rescue was formed. Our mission is to rescue dogs from devastating conditions from countries of the Pacific Rim.

We are committed to providing foster homes, veterinary and behavioral training for these dogs, so that they may live happy and fulfilling lives in their forever homes.
