My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Berry, a sweet and affectionate 5-6-month-old, 8kg mix and sibling to Haley and Delta.

Berry is a social butterfly who loves everyone she meets—whether it’s a familiar face or a stranger, she’ll happily nuzzle up for attention and doesn’t hesitate to invite belly rubs, even from new friends. She’s especially gentle and patient with children under 13, making her a wonderful companion for families.

Berry’s friendly nature extends to other dogs, too. She’s quick to greet both old pals and new canine friends, always ready for a play session. Even when other dogs get a little too pushy, Berry prefers to avoid conflict and stays calm. She tends to feel more secure when other dogs are around, so a home with another pup could be a great fit.

On walks, Berry’s curiosity is well-balanced with focus. While she may glance at a passing cat, she quickly redirects her attention to her person and follows their lead. With a moderate energy level, she enjoys outdoor adventures but settles down easily afterward for some quiet relaxation. She pulls on the leash occasionally but is generally attentive and eager to follow your guidance. Berry is also impressively polite—she doesn’t guard her food or resources and is rarely vocal.

This adaptable pup is comfortable with both indoor pee pads and outdoor pottying. She’s calm in a kennel and doesn’t mind car rides. Berry’s early life was tough—she and her siblings were rescued after being swept away in floodwaters, separated from their mother, who had been tied up in a field. Despite this, Berry has blossomed into a gentle, loving soul ready to bring joy and warmth to her forever family. Could that be you?

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.
