Vern is a six-month-old all-black kitten with a sleek coat and a gentle, affectionate nature. Rescued from a Brooklyn backyard with his brother, Billy, Vern is ready for his forever home—ideally alongside his brother.

Though shy at first, Vern’s sweetness shines once he feels safe, especially with Billy’s protective nature. Once he’s comfortable, Vern becomes a total lovebug, happily curling up in your lap or letting you hold him like a baby for a nap. Post-nap, his playful antics–whether chasing a dust bunny or turning a cardboard box into an obstacle course–are sure to bring laughter and warmth to your home.

Vern and Billy have matching polydactyl paws—adorable extra toes that give them the cutest “thumbs.” Vern is litter box trained, neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, and up to date on vaccines.

While they thrive as a pair, Vern could potentially adjust to a home with another playful cat.
