My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Baby Bear!

This tiny 1-year-old girl is Baby Bear, and she’s ready to capture your heart with her sweet, gentle nature and adorable brown and white coat! Rescued from Texas, Baby Bear may be small in size, but her big personality and loving heart more than make up for it.

Baby Bear is the definition of sweet. She may be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe and loved, her affectionate side will shine through. Whether she’s curled up in your lap, enjoying a quiet walk, or snuggling up in her favorite spot, Baby Bear is happiest when she’s close to her people.

She’s great with other dogs and enjoys being around her human companions, making her the perfect fit for a family or individual looking for a calm, loving companion. Though she’s still young, Baby Bear has a peaceful, relaxed energy that will be a wonderful addition to any home.

If you’re looking for a tiny, sweet, and loving companion to bring joy into your life, Baby Bear is the perfect match! Come meet this little sweetheart and make her a part of your family today.

This cutie resides at our Wantagh location and meetings are by appointment only. If you are interested in meeting them, you must click "Apply for Adoption" to submit an online application. If you're viewing this animal on Petfinder, please visit the animal's page on Bideawee.org and click on the "Apply for Adoption" button to submit an adoption application. Once we receive your application, we will be in touch to schedule an appointment to meet them! Prior to adoption, all of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped and given their age-appropriate vaccines.

This dog is currently being treated for an intestinal parasite, which is a treatable condition but makes them contagious to other dogs. Out of an abundance of caution, until they finish their treatment this dog should only be adopted to a home without any other dogs.
