A SWEET, SHY & SCRUFFY GIRL: Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 22 lbs.
Hi, my name’s Regina! Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am super grateful they are helping me on the journey to my new home. I came to the shelter scared and timid, and the volunteers knew just what I needed to feel comfortable and loved. I’m settling in and am now ready to meet my new family, so plan to come visit me soon! I’ve gone into a temporary foster home, so there should be more information about me soon.
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, though I did come in with another dog that I like walking with, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I met kids at Mostly Mutts that were 10 years old and a little younger and I was afraid of them, so if you have calm kids such as 15+, let’s meet!
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: Though shy and timid, I do warm up when the patient volunteers give me the time and space to feel comfortable. My sweet nature emerges, and I show my gentle and calm demeanor. I’m not very playful yet, but I may warm up to play sessions once I’m comfortable in my new home – after all, I am a Terrier breed mix. Though afraid of the bath sprayer, I enjoyed the nice shampoo scrub, so I likely have a snuggly side once I know you. / My energy level is 3-5.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I will be learning lots of great commands with my trainer. I’m improving with my leash skills with encouragement as I gain more confidence. Check back soon to see what I have learned. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home too.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I am enjoying the kindness of the volunteers as they give me the encouragement I need to grow my confidence. I’m opening up and enjoy giving and receiving affection. I’m so grateful for nice people! / Loud noises and sudden movements startle me, and I would not enjoy living in a home with lots of commotion. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.
• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have mild tartar/staining on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future.
I am looking for a kind and patient family that will help me build my confidence in a loving home. My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
