Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Don't let his age fool you, this gentleman has a lot of spunk and plenty of love to give. Abu's last owner described him as a sweet and loving cat. Both in his past home and in the shelter, Abu has readily warmed up to new people. When ready for pets, he's known to offer cute chirps and possibly even some taps on the shoulder. :) Sharing a home with young children wasn't ideal for Abu in the past and, at this time, he's available to a household with kids aged 10+ or no kids. He did enjoy playing with a canine friend in his last home and may fit nicely into a future family that includes a well-matched dog. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 12.6875 Age: 12yrs 0mths 2wks

Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter and first vaccines, medical exam, and microchip.
How to Adopt from Foothills Animal Shelter:
Visit the Shelter or one of our offsite adoption partner locations to find a pet. Once you’ve decided on an animal, you should check with staff to see the status and history of the animal. At this time, you can fill out an adoption application and visit with the animal.
We recommend you bring all family members to the Shelter to meet with the animal before you consider adopting. If you are interested in adopting a dog, bring any household dogs to the Shelter to determine if it is a good match. Also, if you rent your home, please bring the pet policy in your lease or rental agreement and contact information for your landlord.
Once your application is reviewed, you can pay the adoption fees and take your new pet home. It may take some time for your new pet to adjust to its new environment. If you have questions or concerns after adopting, please contact us at 303-278-7575.
