Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
GRUMPY is an approximately 1.5 year old rat who came to us when his owner could no longer keep him. He has been through 3 homes that we know of.
Grumpy is a special case. He is great with people and enjoys treats, but on Thanksgiving he attacked and badly injured his brother. His brother recovered, and Grumpy was neutered to see if that would reduce his aggression. Grumpy has recovered well from his neutering but still has not done well with other rats after multiple attempts with both males and females, babies and adults, small groups and large groups.
Grumpy has not shown any aggression with people. He is a little nervous (he did not enjoy his post-neuter meds) but will allow you to hold him and our vet/vet tech team adores him. He takes treats fairly gently but can be a bit nervous. His favorite are oxbow vitamin C treats and dried coconut strips.
He needs a home that is comfortable with him remaining a solo rat. It is possible with time and patience he may bond with rats again in the future, but we can't guarantee it. A home with plenty of time to interact with him would be ideal.\
He loves to sleep in his cozy hammocks and watch the world go by. He is getting used to coming out for couch time and playpen time regularly.
We are able to meet for adoptions within 1 hour of Minneapolis, MN. Potentially further, please inquire and we can discuss.
