My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Handsome HUDSON is a gray-and-white teenager with large paws and striking gold eyes. He’s silly and sweet by nature and will flop down comfortably when he’s relaxed. It takes Hudson a little time to warm up to new people and situations, but once he’s comfortable, he loves being petted and carried around over your shoulder. Hudson gets along well with other cats and would enjoy a home with a playful young kitty or dog (see photo). Since he’s a little skittish when he hears loud noises, a home without young children would be ideal, although he’d probably be fine with older, cat-savvy kids. Hudson was found as a stray and brought to our cat rescue where he’s been cared for in a loving foster home. Now he’s ready for his own forever family. If you’re looking for a sweet and playful furry buddy, Hudson might just be the one for you.

HUDSON has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet HUDSON at the Cat Lounge, please fill out an Adoption Application for consideration at catrescues.org/adopt, and an adoption counselor will contact you for a possible meet-and-greet at the Eugene Springfield Cat Lounge, 537 W. Centennial Blvd., Springfield. The $155 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
